Canaries watch euro 04 star
Norwich City have run the rule over Danish international Kenneth Perez, who is currently on Euro 2004 duty in Portugal.
Sources in Scandinavia claim the Canaries had the 29-year-old winger watched during one of the Danes' warm-up games – and would be taking another look during the competition proper.
In common with all Premiership outfits, City are believed to have representatives in Portugal and one of them is likely to be in Braga tomorrow when Denmark take on Bulgaria.
Perez, who plays his club football in Holland, came on as a 72nd-minute substitute in the Danes' opening game against Italy, and did a good job as his side ground out a well-deserved goalless draw.
A predominantly right-sided player, he has been a regular member of the Danish squad since making his debut in a 3-2 victory over England at Old Trafford last November. He came off the bench in that game as a 19th-minute replacement for the injured Dennis Rommedahl and has continued to make regular appearances from the bench, winning his seventh cap against the Italians.
Perez played for a number of amateur sides in his homeland before making his name with one of the country's top clubs, FC Copenhagen.
In 1997 he was snapped up by Dutch outfit MVV Maastricht and after a three good years in southern Holland, when he scored 13 goals in 57 appearances, he moved on to AZ Alkmaar, where he has been ever since.
He has scored a total of 17 goals in 67 league games for the Ere Divisie outfit, with his consistent performances helping the provincial club to a highly commendable fifth-placed finish
