oh right, because I was thinking that if you got Geremi, your midfield would be pretty gd like this:

Duff----Geremi----Barton-----Milner

or if Duff is injured (as he normally is):

Milner----Emre----Barton-----Geremi

what do you think??

On paper it looks like a midfield that are good enough to battle for european places. But thats just it; Newcastle have had a good midfield on paper for years now without performing. But now with Big Sam in charge, the team can hopefully deliver the goods.

But I wouldn't play Geremi at the center of midfield. Butt is better than Geremi in that position. Geremi would belong at right back at Newcastle and backup for right wing.

oh yeah I forget that you defence needs a lot of work. yeah stick Geremi at RB and then have butt at cm with barton. that would work gd idea. Tho you still haven't actually got Geremi so we might be a bit premature about where he will play at newcastle.

Edmilson has Barca future

Quote:
Sky Sports News understands that a delegation from Newcastle has arrived in Barcelona to discuss a potential move for the Brazilian, but now, club director Txiki Beguiristain has suggested the player still has a future at Camp Nou.

Any move for the 30-year-old defender, who can also play as a holding midfielder, would be complicated by the fact he will be out for the next four to six months having undergone knee surgery.

Newcastle are known to be keen to add to their defensive ranks, with manager Sam Allardyce having culled large numbers from the squad he inherited at St James' Park.

Whether Edmilson makes the move to the North East, though, remains very much a subject of conjecture.

"Edmilson is our player and we are not negotiating his exit," said Beguiristain.

"The important thing is his recuperation, after the surgery, for him to play with us for the second part of next season.

"The doctor is confident for a December return and be ready for the New Year."

Apparently Edmilson want's 80k-a-week and Allardyce is re-thinking his interesst. For me Edmilson is not worth 80k-a-week. Especially when he can't kick a ball before November/December.

I agree.Allardyce should try to find a better option than Edmilson.
