Default Vieira to newcastle?

Newcastle United are being linked with a shock move for Juventus midfielder Patrick Vieira.
The French ace could become available at Juve should the club be demoted to Serie B over Italy's match-fixing scandal.

The Daily Express says Newcastle are ready to offer £6 million to bring Vieira back to the Premiership.

If his end of season form for Juve is anything to go by it would be a good club for him.

Obviously he wouldn't move to the North East of England though.

I can't see it tbh, although he'd be a sound enough buy for Newcastle.

What about Steven Davis at Villa ?

Would be worth going to but I can't see it happen.
Steven Davis would be a good signing, he wouldn't be too expensive either.
Gary O'Neill - no thanks.

He's also now an International captain at 21 years of age (our youngest ever captain) and he's a fantastic talent.

I wish we'd buy him.........

But he'd do great at Newcastle, feeding Owen.

he is a very good passer, capable of getting from box to box and as he keeps racking up fantasy league points for me he clearly chips in with some assists and the odd spectacular goal.

But on the other hand, the midfield should be the least of our worries next season. It is the only position where we are solid accross the pitch apart from in goal. Defenders and strikers must take priority in the summer.

I think there would be a number of teams ahead of Newcastle interested if he left such as possibly Lyon, Madrid.

Parker and Emre give Newcastle a good midfield already, a fit Dyer on the right, and an in-form Luque on the left give Toon a quality 4.

They need a partner for Owen, and some new defenders.

They also need a proper manager cos Roeder is crap.
