Viana for £1.7 million?
"United chairman Freddy Shepherd refused to discuss the situation today, but the word from Spain is that the two clubs have agreed a £1.5m fee for the Portuguese international."
I think the Magpies lost about £7 million on him. We should have get more for him, and many Geordies wanted him back to St.James.Park for a new chance under new circumstances.
In my opinion, I'm glad he is history. I don't think he fit in, in the PL and Newcastle United's playing style. However, he didn't play on his best position either for the tyneside club either.
