I think the Magpies lost about £7 million on him. We should have get more for him, and many Geordies wanted him back to St.James.Park for a new chance under new circumstances.

In my opinion, I'm glad he is history. I don't think he fit in, in the PL and Newcastle United's playing style. However, he didn't play on his best position either for the tyneside club either.

Better than nothing but a new manager might think he can do something with him, won't be too bothered either way to be honest.

I honestly reckon that if you had a good manager he could get Viana to play for you in a similar way that Veron does for Inter, Pirlo for Milan etc.

Parker and Emre doing the work with him the playmaker.....that might work.

Agree. Its a short way from heaven to hell. If the Mags had played him in the right position with the right players around him, he could a very big player for Newcastle.
