Default Liverpool vs Newcastle

Quote:
NEWCASTLE United boss Graeme Souness received a timely boost with the return of five players for the Boxing Day trip to Liverpool.

Celestine Babayaro, Stephen Carr, Emre, Charles N'Zogbia and Steven Taylor have all been declared fit to make the trip to Anfield.

The manager will select from the following 20-man squad: Shola Ameobi, Celestine Babayaro, Jean Alain Boumsong, Lee Bowyer, Titus Bramble, Martin Brittain, Stephen Carr, Michael Chopra, Lee Clark, Robbie Elliott, Emre, Amady Faye, Shay Given, Steve Harper, Albert Luque, Charles N'Zogbia, Michael Owen, Peter Ramage, Alan Shearer, Nolberto Solano, Steven Taylor.

Midfielder Scott Parker is suspended for the Liverpool game, while Kieron Dyer and Craig Moore are still missing through injury.

my guess for the first 11

given

ramage bramble boum baba

nobby faye emre ameobi

owen shearer

subs
harper
taylor
zoggy
bowyer
luque

I think we'll struggle to get anything out of this game.

Damn that Parker is out. I also want Luque instead of Ameobi. Shola is a good footballer, but we can't use him regular if we'll finish top five.

Had been great to replace Ramage, Faye and Ameobi with Carr, Parker and Luque, but that's the way it is.

The match against L'pool is important. Off course because of the points, but also because of the rivalry between Norwegian N'castle and Liverpool supporters.

Thomsen - We're coming for you.

Missing Scotty P is a big blow.Liverpool are looking good. We've started winning but aren't looking convinving. I think we'll do lucky to pinch a score draw.

Parker is your best player and he was the only one that could really have given you a chance. They will need to play poorly for you to win....they will be able to shut you out with relative ease.
