i posted here hoping to get some sort of explenation on why it went so wrong, not to wind u up... looking for views from ppl that saw the match...

Ok i just thort u were winding up, what went wrong? basically everything, bobby picked the wrong team for starters, viana is no replacement for shearer, i no searer is irreplaceable, but he cud have at least replaced him with another striker. as for the rest of it, we just weren't in the game, can't remember us having a shot! sending off was a little harsh, mutu went down very easily after o'brien touched his arm, also it was never a penalty, the slightest hope we had of getting back into the game was taken away from us after that incident, a day to forget about, well done chelsea, looks like money may be buying silverware this season

We were totally outclassed by a far more effective Chelsea and the absence of Shearer and dismissal of O'Brien is like rub salt into wounds for Newcastle who already without Bellamy, Dyer and Woodgate. We rarely tested out Cudicini in the goal and we already lost the match before halftime approached. I agree with Englands_No#1, it shouldn't be a penalty, Mutu went down just outside the penalty area. After halftime, I really didn't give any hope of Newcastle comeback, even if 11-man.

could be a blessing in disguice(spelling?) remember us after the city match last season? gotta think positivelly and battle on for the 4th place, you may have lost 5-0 yesterday, but u're still better than the scousers :thumbsup:

also id far rather lose one game 5-0 than lose many games in a row, its just a blip weve been doing well lately, dont worry toon fans
