Default Cisse on his way?

Newcastle United are being linked with a shock move for Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse.
The Times says Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez is ready to sell the Frenchman to make way for Real Madrid's Michael Owen.

Gérard Houllier, the Lyons manager, has registered an interest and has money to spend after the £26 million transfer of Michael Essien to Chelsea.

Newcastle United are also looking for a forward, although they can give up the chase for Owen as he prepares to return to Anfield.

Most likely bollocks, but any striker link raises my heart rate these days.

Very much like that last comment. I think its how all our fans feel these days, and always have that hope no matter how unlikely the story is. Rooney last season, ronaldinho the season before.

Cisse is going nowhere!..in to-nights echo it reported that Lyon have made a bid for Baros! they have offered £8.5 million and LFC have accepted the offer, but the stumbling block is that Baros himself prefers a move to villa, this could complicate matters. Lyon are going to be linked in the press with every player that may take their fancy, they have just received £28 mill, for the sale of essian to chelsea, I dont think rafa will let cisse go, but selling baros to them would be good business.
