BEST SIGNING?

NICKY BUTT
Hasn't figured much,for the fee we paid for him and at his age,I feel he's a bargain and a player we have needed for a long time.Bags of experience and a top-class professional.

WORST SIGNING?

MICHAEL BRIDGES
Mind,he never really got a chance in his proper role.

BEST MOMENT?

Signing Kluivert.I've been a fan of his for many years,and I was delighted when I heard we signed this genuine world class player.Come on let's face it,it doesn't happen alot in this club,does it?

WORST MOMENT?

Loosing to Marseille.

BEST PLAYER?

Joint award on this one.Shearer for the goals and Bernard for the hard work.The pair did very well for the year on whole and it's difficult for me to split them.

WORST PLAYER?

Bramble was most infuriating.Viana was one of the most disappointing.But Dyer let both himself and the club down with terrible performances and off-field behaviour.

BEST TEAM PERFORMANCE/RESULT?

2-1 win vs Chelsea at St.James' Park-going a goal down so early in the match we somehow turned it around with every player giving his all and not only did we see some find individual performances and some good goals,we actually played some decent football against a very good side who still were still in with a slim chance of winning the league.Why didn't we play like that througout the season?

WORST TEAM PERFORMANCE/RESULT?

2-0 defeat away to Marseille.We were 90 minutes away from an European final.When will we win a damn trophy?That was our best chance in a long long time.

BEST INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE?

Any match Craig Bellamy has been at his best.

WORST INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE?

Viana vs Marseille

BEST GOAL?

There were a number,Ameobi v Chelsea,Carr v Southampton,Butt v Birmingham,Ambrose v Bolton,Dyer (2nd) v Southampton,Robert v almost any team he managed to score against (they were almost all pretty special).But has to go to Shearer for his winner against Chelsea.What a goal.

CONCLUSION?

Not much to cheer.The feeling of a plan gone horribly wrong.

- Nope. Kluivert was great. Quality striker both for Ajax, Holland and (barcelona ::confused)
