He's nowhere near good enough to be a starting cb, for a team who want to play in europe, we definately need another new player.

top class. Him and Boumsong would be good defensively, but limited in terms of passing and bringing the ball out from the back.

Thats what i thought as well, would be very solid defensively, but depending on who we play in midfield (ie nicky butt), we may have trouble bringing the ball upfield, but hopefully with carr fit and babayaro there will be better options out wide to advance.
