Routledge
Wayne Routledge is a January transfer target for Newcastle United Football Club manager Graeme Souness.
Routledge was the subject of an bid by Tottenham in the summer and Palace boss Iain Dowie spoke last week of his desire to see the winger sign a new contract at Sehurst Park.
Souness is keen on the player and may try and tempt Palace with a player plus cash deal involving striker Michael Chopra, currently on loan at Barnsley.
WE HAVE NO USE FOR HIM.PLEASE DO NOT SIGN HIM!!!

Very true, what we need now is defenders. We already have loads of quality midfielders, he might be surplus to our squad now. Don't forget that we still have Viana out there.

I think he's a decent player and could become great, i know we desparately need defenders, but we dont actually play any starting wingers at the moment and so they are needed on both sides. I'd still prefer someone with a bit of experience though.

I think we need a winger and he would be great but i'd still prefer someone who has played in the prem consistently, as we already have milner and ambrose on the right for the future. If we could afford him we may as well buy him

Routledge is the same age as Milner or not much older. I'd prefer to have Milner to be honest.

Thats what im saying, id welcome him as he's a good player but we have youngsters (routledge is slightly older than milner), so if we are getteing a right winger we need someone who will consistently play in that role and help milner progress.

IMO you get better production from Milner, and he's more versatile.
Routledge seems to want to have a step over competition with C.Ron.
Tell you what, Newcastle can keep Milner and buy defenders.
Arsenal can have Routledge and sell Pennant to Man City.
And we'll take SWP.

Yeah, always useful to bring off the bench if you need a few passes misplaced. Suprised Souness hasn't gone for him already, that's his kind of player.

We've got nicky butt for the misplaced passes at the moment, viana isnt worth much now, so souness couldnt really make him more of a flop.

yeah i know, Viana is shit...if Routledge is really that good as you all said, wouldn't mind he join...but there must be some going in the opposite way. I nearly forgot that we still haven't find a suitable right winger (except Ambrose) to replace Solano. I mean someone who really can make great crosses.
