Final score we won 2-1 good first league game for souness, even with a suspect formation, ie jenas playing on the left.

Jenas was way out off position on left, Robert should stay there. JJ should be stuck in the middle.

Happy with the result but I was surprised too see Robert dropped to the bench. He's been on top form in past few games and has added a another dimension to the left.

Shame bowyer played poorly, co he has played very well in other games this season and has looked the most productive in midfield. Jenas played on the left to give defensive cover as Robert is too lay to help bernard at the back.

Robert got to much stick in my opinion, he is probably 1 of the best left wingers in the prem and well I think he scored 12 or 13 last season for us in all, that just shows what he has done. At times I expected his name to show up to score more than Shearer's.

Robert wasnt even too bad last season, a lot of the time it was criticism carried on from the season before, and was under a lot of pressure to perform every match. Also we didnt have a replacement left wing and so he was our only option there every game.
