TBH, the Woodgate transfer, like for most people, completely shocked me. It came out of the blue and the deal was complete so quickly, compared to the weeks of speculation over the deal that never happened which was Vieria and the deal that did happen Owen.
About time Madrid spent money for a good centre half rather than just playing any youngster that comes through who is half decent. The choice of Woodgate though is questionable, due to the fact for a player who can't play three games on the bounce without getting injured for that kind of money, it's a gamble... but fair enough, this Real Madrid, i'm sure this kind of money will not be missed.
