Default Carr due to arrive

Newcastle have agreed terms with Tottenham over the transfer of Republic of Ireland defender Stephen Carr.

Carr is due to arrive at St James' Park in the next 48 hours to complete a medical and finalise personal terms.

The long-serving White Hart Lane full-back joined the club as a trainee in September 1993 and has since gone on to make just short of 230 Premiership appearances for the north London club, scoring eight goals in all competitions.

Newcastle manager Sir Bobby Robson had hoped to bring in Portugal defender Miguel from Benfica but he is a long-time admirer of Dublin-born Carr.

Good news!

IMO if we get Carr, we have a better squad/Team than Liverpool

not even close.

We have a better keeper, a better defense, a better midfield, and better strikers, and we have a better manager.

and we've still to make any major moves(Cisse apart), but Alonso and Eto'o could arrive SOON.

Better keeper my arse, given is the most consistent in the prem, our defence will be good next season providing woodgate stays fit i'd pick both centre backs and full backs (carr now here) over yours, we have a much more attacking midfield than you without gerrard yours is shit and butt should now give extra cover to make us more solid, shearer was the best striker behind henry in the prem last season and bellamy played very good end of last season and pre season, and kluivert still could prove his class, whereas owen is hugely overrated and can go for ages without scoring, but i do admit cisse could prove to be a class act but that is still a maybe as the french league is a lot easier for strikers than the prem.

What have you been drinking??

Dudek is better than Given who is average and nothing more.

You have :
Carr-Bramble-O'Brien-Bernard

We have:
Josemi-Carra-Hyypia-Riise

NONE of the yours would make our defense(Woody would have over Hyypia).

You have:
Dyer-Butt-Bowyer-Robert

we have:
Garcia-Gerrard-Alonso-Kewell

Robert would make it on the left with either Garcia or Kewell on the right.

You have:
Shearer-Bellamy

We have:
Cisse-Baros

Cisse and Baros are better than Bellamy, Shearer is the most proven of them all. Shearer-Cisse upfront.

We have a far better team than you, our squad is better as well. Hamann is our third choice CM and he's better than any of yours! Henchoz is our third choice CB and he's better than any of yours!

Keeper - Newcastle

Defense - Liverpool (depends who we buy)

Midfield - 50/50 Depends

Strikers - 100% NUFC!

Liverpool have Baros, Cisse and who? Pongolle! We have Shearer, Bellamy, Kluivert, Ameobi and a possibilty of Wayne Rooney as well! In fact that is the best set of strikers in the league even including Chelsea, Man U and Arsenal!

I don't think Cisse will do that well, he won't make 20, neither will Shearer
