West Kendall, Washington Freedom prevail in penalty kick shootouts

The USL Super-20 North American Finals concluded Sunday, crowning the top men's and women's U20 teams in the country. West Kendall's potent offensive weapons were held in check by the New York Red Bulls, taking the title 7-6 on penalties in seven rounds after a 1-1 draw. The women's championship also came down to penalties with tournament MVP goalkeeper Chante Sandiford making three saves during the tiebreaker to hand the Washington Freedom the victory 3-1 after a 1-1 draw.
