I rep you for that comment, but you are telling the wrong guy, the MLS are catering to the spanish player, and in some cases I understand

again I totally agree, but then we have to stop the invasion of the spanish players, its not going to happen
if its a portuguese, brazilian or Italian everybody complains, and that's wrong.

Racism...How is it racism when a player is turned down by a nobody manager because the fact is he doesn't like Portuguese players..I have no problem watching players like Messi, Lucho Gonzalez, Riquelme, Tello, or Pizarro playing in the MLS, but what we end up getting are a bunch of overprice talentless players..

Zidane, Delgado or Fowler
FOX Sports - USA - MLS surges ahead while Europe falters back
And then there's the chatter that Zinedine Zidane is in New York to meet with Red Bull New York.
Weirdly, what is perhaps the biggest item on this menu is also the lightest in weight. Zidane is in New York, but, well, "New York is a big place," as Jeff Agoos, NYRB's genial technical director pointed out last week, before making an open invitation to dinner for the famed midfielder. "If you see him, let him know."
Why does this matter so much? Because ten years ago, such talk would have been laughable. A world famous player coming off a memorable World Cup and visiting an American team? Not gonna happen.
But, today, in the post-Beckham era, anything seems possible. Zidane? Pavel Nedved? A few good young Brazilian players? Why not?
Being taken seriously is the best thing to happen to MLS in ages.
Let's hope they can keep it up.

Zizou would be huge for the MLS, especially for football enthusiasts. It may not build the game as much as Beckham will with his image, but for fans of the game, more will actually start paying attention to the MLS.

Time to ante up if the MLS wants to make it big. Pay Zizou and get him in red and white.

Zizou isn't coming to the RBNY or the MLS for that matter and I hope Arena isn't dumb enough to actually take Tin Degaldo.
