Metrostars played Bayern a few years ago after they won the CL, and the Metrostars won 2-0, one of the goals was scored by Clint Mathis

It was terriblely marketed many didn't even know about it and it shows that crowd for the 4-2 RBNY win was 5,173.

since day one I knew was not going to be a big crowd, maybe it was like a friendly for both teams, like a close door game\

by the way Bayern got no fan appeal, got be teams from south america, italy and Portugal or you might as well forget it

poor marketing of the team, so far they doing a worse job then the old Metrostars, also you can't come in New Jersey and call the team NY, its not going to work.

What do you expect the game was played at 12 noon on a holiday weekend. The game should have been schedule for 7pm and maybe you might have gotten a better draw. I don't understand why the Red Bulls don't try to get Benfica to come for a Friendly. The last time Benfica played in New York must have been at least 5 years ago.
