I can't believe that the Metros won the lottery but this is another great pickup fpr the future. I hated losing Tim Ward, but getting Wynne, Josmer Altidore and David Arvizu this offseason was amazing and IMO these 3 will be NT members. Hell if the MLS had it's head on straight the Metros would also officially have Johnny "Johnny X" Exantus in the fold as well.

I'm not sure but I'm thinking that now that the Metros have got their future attacking midfielder in David Arvizu that Eddie Gaven is gone for sure.

no doubt but I like what they did with this draft for the future and Wynne is one for now and for the future. Guevara and Gaven will end up being dealt for the veteran needs.

I think it's good that he didn't go to Chivas. They might have tried to pressure him into playing for Mexico and we certainly don't need that.

4. ON THE MOVE: Eddie Gaven swapped for Edson Buddle

Midfielder Eddie Gaven, 19, has been traded from the New York Red Bulls to the Columbus Crew in exchange for 24-year-old forward Edson Buddle.

Gaven, who debuted in MLS at age 16, has played in 69 games (62 starts), and tallied 16 goals and 12 assists in three seasons. Gaven played for Crew coach Sigi Schmid at last year's U-20 World Youth Championship.

Buddle appeared in 106 games for Columbus and notched 42 goals during his four seasons.

The New York Red Bulls also traded Canadian defender Adrian Serioux, an offseason signing hailed by club president Alexi Lalas as "just what the doctor ordered," to Houston for Danny O'Rourke, the 2004 MAC Hermann Trophy winner out of Indiana University.

Here's hoping a change of scenery will help Gaven get back on track. Good trade for the Metrosars getting Buddle in return though.

Wow, I'm abit surprised that we didn't see O'Rourke and Szetela in the deal as well since O'Rourke is from Columbus and that Szetela is from Jersey.
