Hi all

Im a big fan of Championship Manager, but would like more competitive edge from more human controlled clubs. I dont have a lot of friends playing the game, so I have created a league where by people can control a team ( pick the team, finances, etc etc ) and compete against other human players.

The web site is currently being built, but I am looking for prospective managers to compete in the league. I would like it if you could at least have a glance at the site, and give me any feed back or questions you may have.

A small explanation about the league :

the league is played using a piece of software called ESMS. It simulates games based on your decisions. (Eg Team selection and Tactics)

Before explaining what ESMS is it would be easier to first explain
what a Play-By-Email fantasy soccer league is. Play-By-Email or PBEM
is a genre of game in which the players use email to communicate game
information and a fantasy soccer league is a simulated game based on soccer.
Email is used for sending the starting line-ups, transfers, game stats and
general banter that occurs in the league.( There is a forum also ) The actual soccer matches are
simulated by a program called ESMS (Electronic-Soccer-Management-System).

ESMS is a soccer management simulator for play-by-email games. A play-by-email
(PBEM) soccer game usually consists of an administrator, who runs the league,
and managers, each managing one or more teams in the league. The game is a PBEM
version of many famous management games, like the Premier Manager, Ultimate FIFA
manager, and of course the great Championship Manager series. However, it only
consists of the league running part, which includes running a game between two
teams using their rosters and team sheets, updating the rosters using the after-game
stats, and updating the league table, using the results. All other aspects of soccer
management, i.e. player transfers should be developed by each league for its best use.
These aspects are easy to handle and need no computer programs. This program was
written especially not for a specific league, but with possibility to many uses
and different ideas, using the same game engine.

An ESMS soccer league is a game coordinated by a commissioner. The human players
(you and me) are called managers and each manager has a team of fantasy soccer
players. Teams can buy/sell/traded these soccer players to other clubs. Teams also
have a bank account which they can use to buy players from other teams.
There will also be other game elements in a team but this depends on the fantasy
soccer league you are in as each league has its own unique game elements. Each week
the manager sends a list of his best 15 soccer players to the commissioner. This
list is called a team sheet. Mangers are required to send a team sheet for each
game and many leagues have penalties if a team sheet is not submitted.

This is a brief outline, but to get the full understanding of it, and what we offer, please visit
http://gisl.cjb.net

Please note the site is currently in the construction stage so some links may as yet not work. If you have any questions or have any feedback ( constructive please ) please feel free to post a reply here or on the site forum.

The idea has just been created in the last week or so, but we r looking to get competition started by April 1st.

Thanks for listening, and sorry for babbling on
