Matteo Ferrari to Milan ?
Portuguese press says that according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Ferrari has agreed to move to Milan next season (free transfer since his contract runs out). He'll sign a 4 year contract.
I don't know Italian, so I didn't bother looking at Gazzetta's website, but I trust the Portuguese source.
What do you reckon about this?

Squad player.
If he ain't starting for Roma I can't see him starting ahead of Nesta, Kaladze, etc.
In fact he's probably the equivilant of Bonera.
These rumours have been around for a couple of weeks though.

Ferrari: I'm off in June Wednesday 20 February, 2008
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Matteo Ferrari has confirmed that he will be leaving Roma at the end of the season, but claims that he hasn’t yet agreed a deal with Milan.
The 27-year-old defender has been unsettled at the Stadio Olimpico this term as he continues to struggle to command a starting place.
With the Algeria-born stopper’s contract set to expire this summer, he will be available on a free transfer at the end of the campaign to any club willing to pay his wages.
“The conditions for a renewal at Roma aren’t there,” he stated in Il Tempo.
“In June I will be leaving, but I will give my all until the end of my last game for the Giallorossi.
“I have become used to being whistled and I expected it after there were reports that I had already agreed a deal with Milan.
“But I want to make it clear that I haven’t come to any agreement with anyone – I just won’t be staying here.”

We need someone, just as a basic substitute. With simic and Maldini leaving at the end of the season we really need someone. I would welcome him.
The italian press says that they have made a verbal agreement with him,..

According to reports months ago, Ferrari was close to signing a contract with Milan. He won't get anymore playing time at Milan then Roma...just his salary will likely be a bit higher. He may play more at Roma bc of injuries and lack of dept at CB.

And, strangely, Roma are in the CL while Milan are only in the UEFA Cup.
Something to be considered anyway.

I don't think Ferrari cares much about CL...i think he just wants first team action. He should go to smaller club then Milan.
