Milan ain't the most attractive club to sign for when they don't are qualified for the next champions league. They should be concern if Kaka leaves them for CL this summer.

I think people are getting a bit carried away here.

Milan still have the foundations to qualify for the Champions League and/or challenge for the league in the next few years.

It's just the time for transition. OK they haven't handled it particularly well, but when is it easy? Look at United for example, until last year people were predicting the demise of Manchester United, and then they won the league, made the Champions League semi-final, and the FA Cup Final. Or take Bayern, did players like Ribery or Toni who wanted to leave to play CL football decide not to make the move because of UEFA Cup football for a season?

Milan will be back, they have the money, they have the infrastructure and they still have the players. They need to freshen things up but with players like Flamini and Pato coming in that's finally the direction they seem headed in...

Team needs a massive overhaul.

Start with saying farewell to Ancelotti.

Then focus on buying young stars who will develop into superstars. Forget about Ronaldinho, Van Der Vaart and players like that. Prima donnas who'll cause trouble. And you already have Kaka who's better than both of them.

Huntelaar has been mentioned, great player. Him or Podolski(who i think would be perfect for the Italian style of play and would flourish with Kaka feeding him) to partner Pato.

Then Kaka is the worlds best player, so he's fine. Go with Flamini - Pirlo - Gattuso as the midfield trio. Gattuso and Flamini together will outrun and outwork any midfield in Europe with the possible exception of Gerrard and Mascherano.

Then to the defense, where major work is needed, 2 fullbacks and a centreback to partner Nesta. And a goalkeeper is a definite need.
Forget about the likes of Zambrotta, go for that left back from Udinese(can't think of his name). Not too sure who would suit at RB, but Oddo is not the answer. Maybe a move for Lahm would be good. As far as CB, personally i'd go for Barzaghli. I know he's gone a bit backwards but that's because he's gone stale at Palermo. A fresh start would do him the world of good and partnering Nesta would be of great benefit to both of them.

Amelia, or possibly Weidenfeller from Dortmund would be ideal.

Forget about superstars, buy team players, players who will work hard for the team, and care about winning trophies and not improving their bank balance.

I don't think so. Milan's record in the CL is second to none of late. They take a year off, they will be back in it again soon enough.

He'd play to a decent level as a striker.

I'd still prefer to play him as an AM though, it is his most natural position after all. Those surging deep runs from midfield are his trademark.

Actually he is not.

It was reported that he had agreed terms with FC Bayern, and what remained was the transfer fee to be paid to Milan.

Milan also set their objective, Mahamadou Diarra of Madrid, to replace him. They were kinda prepared to loose Gattusso.

And all of a sudden, after talks with the board, he declared he will play for three more year there (extended).

If Gattuso goes, you replace him easily enough. He's not a player who contributes from an attacking point of view. I can think of a few players off the top of my head who could do what he does.

As for Kaka, he can't play as a striker on the same level he can as an attacking midfielder. As a striker he'll have less space to work in and closer marking.

Kaka as a striker??? No!

My God, what is happening with my cousins. Stupid thoughts and such.

Just play with one striker then, but I see there problem. Its about time Carlo drops the Xmas tree, and reverts to another formation.

Why not play 4-1-2-1-2? They've had success with it in the past.

Ancelotti needs to go, he's out of ideas.

Milan won't make a change for just the sake of making a change. Meaning, they need to get the right guy in charge.

I'm not convinced they want to part company with Carlo just yet.

Its not Carlo's fault that the lineup is full of dinosaurs. But winning the CL last year delayed everything.

Doesn't make sense to play Kaka as a striker...between Pirlo and Kaka in the midfield, they can move the ball around well...you're limiting the time Kaka has on the ball as a striker.

Milan have focused much too long on the strikers, and that is part of the problem they are in.

In the grand scheme of things, its the easiest position to fill as far as I'm concerned.
