Default Gattuso to leave Milan in the summer ?

AC Milan’s midfield lion Gennaro Gattuso revealed he was on the verge of leaving the Rossoneri.
“In the past ten days I wanted to leave Milan becasue I felt under pressure,” he said.

“But then I decided to stay, because its a club that helps me in all manners possible, and before leaving such a situation, one thinks a thousand times,” he added.

It is unclear where Gattuso wanted to go once he left Milan.

=======

I still feel he is highly over rated, that game against the dippers was shocking. Roy Keane would never accept that bs even if we were 3-0 up.

I think he is good player, however I see where one could come up with the opinion that he is overrated. Not sure if agree or disagree. He's managed to start under for Lippi for the national team, and Carlo at Milan.

I've come to the conclusion that he is the perfect player for Milan and their midfield.

Lastly, I'm not sure how this gets into the media, but in my opinion, this is stuff that should be kept private.

He is just decent defensive midfielder, he is someone who puts his foot in which is good but he is not a good box to box midfielder like Roy Keane used to be and Patrick Vieira is.

I don't think you'll get any arguement out of any Milan fan about that, however he does have some offensive abilities, he just needs some polishing.

Very few players are the caliber that you mention above.

Probably because it's often misquoted or sometimes made up.

the most important player for ac milan is gattuso imho.

he is the real heart and soul of the team when he is on.....there is not a single other player they have that has as much determination, heart and drive.

He's a very important player for us. Last season he wasn't always at his best but nevertheless most of his games were good. He's for example the reason why Cafu can go forward and in games play more as a winger than a back, because he's covvered by Rhino.

It was surprising to hear Gattuso say this.I always looked on him as the new captain when Maldini retires.

the real heart and soul of a team would not give in to pressure like this situation.. To come out say you were going to leave because of it , also does not show heart and soul.
my opinion very overrrated, cristiano zanetti much better. doesn't bitch, hardly talks to the media, knows his role, plays his game.

Yeh but he has 5 players in front of him who do all the hard work too and he has Tiago(used to) and Essien who played alongside him so its not like he had a tough role. Chelsea formation is very defensive which means its easy for Makaele to do the work. If you put Scott Parker there, he could do as good as job. A class midfielder was when Keano and Vieira at there peak, they led teams and never stopped concentrating for the whole of the 90 minutes. They also didnt have big superstar players around them like Chelsea do in Robben, SWP, Essien and Drogba. Thats like 80m worth of signings there.

I heard his girlfriend is influencing him to return to Britian as she misses living there. His girlfriend is Scottish/British from his Rangers days.

That european final in 2003 made Gattuso as a big european defensive powerhouse. I remember him running after the goalkeeper from the halfway line when he was about to kick it out. 2005 final, that reputation did take some damage.

He is not bad , but some azzuri really think he is amazing, and that is unfortunate.
