Milan Disaster...no Champions League.
I've opened this thread, as I think the repercussions on missing out on this event will be long and hard. Many things will happen to this club in the next few months, that will shape the club for the future.
Will stars stay?
Will they go?
Will new ones want to come?
Discuss.....Its great to see Fiorentina, but again I see Italian football weakened in Europe at a time when Premiership dominance is rising, though English football is going into the tank.

They need to pull a Bayern. New players and a new coach.
They need to turn their museum into a football club and stop collecting fossil's.
They need a striker, goalie, and a fb. Their midfield signings depend on their formation next season.

I think Kalac is alright, I also feel they need some midfield help. Some replacements to go on the bench.
And I tell you now, I hope they put those Ronny stories to rest, because he IS not what they need.
Not that he or his ego would go to Milan now.

Milan are officially out of CL...With the injury to Ronald and the lack of scoring by Gilardino early in the season was too difficult to overcome. Milan needs to retool and build a stronger squad. Credit to Fiorentina...Prandelli has done a fantastic job.

There is more to football than merchandise, which is y their interested in Ronaldinho. If they keep Ancelotti and their tree formation, there are cheaper/more in form players available. Van der Vaart would be a natural fit, or spend some money on some youth and sign Nasri from Marseille. Gourcuff has no future under Ancelotti, so they need some sort of attacking mid.

Gilardino is almost certain to be sold to Juve, and he will be a thorn in Milan/Inter's side indefinitely.

I wouldn't be surprised if Gilardino got sold to Roma...Spalletti rates him highly. Even after this past season

An interesting idea but for me overegging the pudding with Pirlo, VDV AND Kaka in the same side. They could do with some pace (as could Inter and Juve) up front, not another playmaker imo.

I see your point, but if the direction their headed is Ronaldinho, they can overegg their pudding more effectively.
They could also play Pato next to Kaka, like they have a few times this season. Their better off playing more of a target man/poacher upfront anyways.
They need to replace Seedorf though. He is to inconsistent and lazy to rely on. He coasts his way through the majority of matches.
Whatever their formation, upfront is their biggest priority. Huntelaar and Gomez are the only available names they have a good chance at. The dream of Drogba ended with a UEFA cup finish, and Berbatov/Eto will go to a CL side given all the interest.

Agreed. I'm still not a fan of VDV at all though. Or of Pato that much either actually...

Always has done as far as I could see, never gave the ball away too much so people didn't notice it, luxury player. I thought that's why they bought Flamini.

Chelsea should be in the market for a forward too, I don't see Gomez going to a side not in the CL. Huntelaar might though.

Ancelotti on his way then?
A season without the CL might do them good as they really need to sort out their league form. For once, the fewer distractions they have the better.
But the question of who they'll sign and who's going to leave beckons, there's a lot of dead wood (we all know who).
Flamini was a very good signing, they need to keep that up throughout the summer.

Pato will come good, he's a playmaker and a finisher.
And to be fair, 9 league goals since he officially joined in January isn't bad at all, especially given Milans problems.

I thought Pato would be a nervous wreck when he arrived in Milan...but the kid was unbelievable. He really inspired Milan with his speed and desire. He will do great things with Kaka in the coming years.

I'm not a Milanista by any stretch of the imagination, however I'm not so convinced that Carlo is done.
But we'll soon find out.

Exactly. They have to let go a BUNCH of people who clearly aren't unable to deliver.
Gilardino, Seerdoff (who's lazy at many times), Cafu, Dida, Emerson, etc.
I don't rate the move (as i've heard) of Ronaldihno and Zambrota very good. As this guy said, they'd be just collecting more fossils. I dunno if Ronaldihno can pull off his old form and reach that kind of level again. But who knows, really.

I disagree. Stuttgart didn't obtain shit this season. Not even a UEFA Cup place. So he might even consider moving to Milan (due to the fact that they're in the UEFA Cup).
Huntelaar is another name i can see in a Milan shirt. He should leave Ajax. I think he's ready for something else.
Now Flamini has been their best buy. Pissed me off a bit cause i wanted him at Bayern but oh well.
I dunno if Van der Vaart would go to Milan. I can't picture him there. He's been more linked with Juventus. So i don't really see him in Milan. I see that many are unconviced about him but he's really good.
About the keeper, i feel Kalac is okay. No more than that. It wouldn't hurt to get another keeper.
