Exclamation Milan Injury List

As far as I can tell, we're down to five (six?) injured players currently:

Maldini
Nesta (could be in the squad for Atalanta)
Serginho
Kaladze
Costacurta

...and possibly Oliveira (thanks to Aladino for the tip), whom I haven't personally heard anything about one way or another, but this is Milan and you know how that goes. Are there any other "secret" injuries that I've missed?

I'll keep this updated as the injured list changes, and of course anyone else with injury news/comments/etc. is welcome to post too!

Not good especialy when they all on our defence! Bonera did get a slight knock in the Inter game, I hope he is fine, and won't have a bad game! We really need him now!

As for Nesta and Serginho, only good news coming from their sides so hopefully they will be back in action soon.

Kaladze said he was also doing well, and could be back for C.L! Great news, I hope pur injuries start disappearing soon!

Shall we just add Ambrosini to the list now and get it over with?

I'm not confident in Bonera anymore. It was a good signing for Milan as he is young, but in my opinion, hasn't played up to Milan standards. When you see the like of Nesta, Maldini, Cafu etc...he just doesn't live up to par....maybe it's still early for him at Milan...maybe next season he will be better.

As a squad player Bonera is fine, I just question whether he's good enough to be a regular starter.

Ya, on any other non big club, he should be a starter...but for Milan, don't think so!

Ha! Sadly, it's so true...

About Bonera, he had a poor game against Inter (as did most of Milan) but other than that, he's had an excellent 2007 so far. In my opinion he's a worthy starter, even for Milan, unless Kaladze returns from injury in great form.

The latest from channel4 is that Nesta is still expected back this weekend, and Maldini should be back in time for Bayern (more about Maldini on the Maldini thread).

Yeha when Bonera has played in the centre of defence he has actually done really well, and considering all the injury circumstances he has risen above the occassion! And he has had some really really greta games! his game against Palemro was one that he played like a demon. When we were so short of defenders!

Against Inter, we must remember every Milan players played crap, and he was also playing with a knock! Obviuosly when Nesta and Kaladze are back and in form then it will be a diferent story. But right now he is all we have, and iMO better than simic at this point!

I'll believe it when I see it, he was supposed to be back for the derby.

In fairness, the "Nesta is back!" announcements do get more and more realistic as more time goes by, but it's true-- we've had quite a number of "false alarms" on Nesta and Serginho both. I hope it turns out to be for real this time.

Yeah I am more confident Nesta will return for Roma. As he played wit the primavera team, and serginho so good chance of them coming back

Currently injured or otherwise unplayable:

Serginho
Kaladze
Costacurta
Ambrosini
Jankulovski (supposedly just "tired")

Does anyone know what specifically is wrong with Costacurta, by the way? I know he's old, I know he's seen better days, but since this is almost certainly his last season I would have liked him to play a few more times... a legend like that deserves better than for his howlers against Roma in the Coppa Italia to be the last game we remember him by.

Kalac and Grimi didn't make the squad for the Roma game, and in Kalac's case I strongly suspect that means an injury since he usually starts ahead of Storari and Fiori.

Grimi has a torn mucle or a pulled muscle in his stomach, but he doesn't make teh squad for C.L anyway as he isn't registered on the list
