'Dinho storms off to San Siro Saturday 22 December, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ronaldinho has had another public bust-up with Barcelona boss Frank Rijkaard, so a January switch to Milan is increasingly plausible.

The Brazilian has been unsettled at the Nou Camp for some time now and his rapport with the Coach, teammates and fans is deteriorating fast.

He was caught on camera during yesterday’s training session as Rijkaard berated him for not putting more effort into the work.

Ronaldinho did not seem best pleased and just a few minutes later walked off the field complaining of a mysterious pain in his left leg.

The Spanish and Italian media claim this was a ‘diplomatic’ injury, as the former Ballon d’Or and FIFA World Player of the Year would only have been left on the bench against Real Madrid.

Milan President Silvio Berlusconi has made it clear on numerous occasions that he wants to bring Ronaldinho to San Siro.

A summer swoop was what everyone expected, but with the tension at breaking point at Barca and Ronaldo’s injury worries stretching on in Italy, the Rossoneri could prepare an audacious January bid.

Berlusconi has to move fast, as Chelsea and Roman Abramovich’s millions are also keeping a close eye on the situation.

Ronaldinho would be available for a January switch despite Alexandre Pato taking the final non-EU member spot in Milan's squad, as the Barca star has a European passport.

Milan and 'Dinho to tie knot? Saturday 29 December, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Respected agent Ernesto Bronzetti insists that Milan are closing in on a deal for Ronaldinho. “They are like an engaged couple.”

Diavolo President Silvio Berlusconi has long been an admirer of the Brazilian ace and has been waiting for a chance to bring the former PSG man to San Siro for months.

In recent times, Ronaldinho’s relationship with Barça has soured and it is now believed that he could leave the Nou Camp, with Chelsea ready to battle Milan for his signature.

“Berlusconi has clearly said that he wants Ronaldinho and the Rossoneri are in pole position if he becomes available,” Bronzetti told Sky Sport Italia.

“They are like a couple waiting to get married, but it isn’t certain that the wedding will go ahead.

“It’s clear that ‘Dinho would choose Milan, rather than England, given the affection that Berlusconi has for him and it could happen in January.”

Galliani admits ‘Dinho defeat Saturday 26 January, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Adriano Galliani has insisted that it will be impossible for Milan to sign Ronaldinho. “Barcelona don’t want to sell him,” he noted.

The Brazilian has been linked with the Rossoneri for some time after the Italian club made it perfectly clear that they were interested in him.

Rumours of £50m bids have been heard over the last 24 months given President Silvio Berlusconi’s admiration for the star, but a move doesn’t seem on the horizon.

“I like Ronaldinho, as I do all great footballers, but he isn’t for sale,” Galliani noted on Saturday. “[Barca President Juan] Laporta has told me that he doesn’t want to sell him.”

The former Paris SG fantasista’s future at the Nou Camp is unclear and Milan would be keen if he became available.

However, Milan no longer seem in a privileged position to net the South American given the recent speculation that Chelsea and Inter are also sniffing around.

Bronzetti expects Dinho to Milan Friday 27 June, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Milan’s market consultant Ernesto Bronzetti believes that Ronaldinho will join the Rossoneri “unless some strange things happen.”

Emmanuel Adebayor has ruled out a move to San Siro this evening and Diavolo Vice-President Adriano Galliani has revealed that Ronaldinho is the No 1 target.

After months of flirtation with the world champions, Dinho now seems keen to fast track a transfer and Bronzetti has shrugged off Galliani’s claims that he won’t meet Barcelona’s price tag.

“Milan have never given up on him and I am the main witness of that because I am in regular contact with Ronaldinho and his brother,” Bronzetti revealed on Radio Radio TV.

“I spoke to the player last night and he told me that he only wants to play for Milan and he wanted me to transmit that to Galliani.

“My impression is that in the end he will join Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, unless some strange things happen.”

There's been 14 pages dating back to Feb 19, 2007...talk about a looooooong transfer. If it doesn't happen this summer, i think it's time to close the thread lol.

This must be the longest active transfer in the history of professional sports. I feel for Milan fans...they've been teased by Dinho for years. I wouldn't believe anything until the contract is signed and have a press conference.

To be honest I think Milan were ready to give up on Ronaldinho this summer but because they've struggled in getting a top class striker (Adebayor doesn't appear to know what he wants ) they've now made the Brazilian their number one target.

We've known for a while that he wants to play for Milan, the clubs just need to sort out a fee.

Barcelona want around £28m but he's only worth half that in my opinion.

Dinho will do well at AC Brazil. They play a slow pace attack and he will combine well with Kaka and Pato up front. But, spending that much money on him is absurd. Maybe a few years ago, but not now.

Looks like Barca wanted 40m euros to start with and Milan were offering near to 20m. Barca will try and offload him soon, maybe before the censure motion so I think a deal will be done between 25-30m euros.

If it isn't done soon then it looks like Ronnie might stay as if Laporta is fired then there will be no deals until the new President is decided and probably the next President will be Sandro Rosell who was the one that sealed the Ronnie deal from Paris and he wants Ronnie to stay.

Lot's of "ifs" and "buts" still left to decide in this transfer saga.

Dinho heads for Nou Camp exit Monday 30 June, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Barcelona ace Ronaldinho seems to have bade farewell to the Catalan giants, possibly ahead of a move to Milan.

The mutual affection between the Rossoneri and Ronaldinho has been evident for months, but there have been no concrete negotiations.

However, the Brazilian star seems to have decided that he won’t be playing at the Nou Camp next term and it is now up to the Diavolo to make the next move.

“It was a stupendous story with Barcelona, given everything that we won,” Dinho told Rete Globo.

“The fans should never forget it, just as I never will, and I felt that they showed their gratitude each day in the street.”

Over the course of the last season, Dinho spent an increasing amount of time on the sidelines and it seems that the 28-year-old has one priority when looking for a new employer.

“What I want first and foremost is to be playing again,” he insisted. “It doesn’t matter where, I want to do what I love most and that is playing football.”

With Emmanuel Adebayor distancing himself from the world champions, a move for Ronaldinho looks increasingly likely.

Sounds like a goodbye to me.

Just another page in Dingo-Milan storybook. But, does sound like this is the final chapter...guess it's only a matter of time until the official unveiling in Milan.

Considering that only Milan are in this race, then I highly doubt they'll ever get half of what they want.

I have seen very little of him of late, but doesn't it seem that when Brazillians lose their "game" it happens very fast??

Milan await Ronaldinho response Tuesday 1 July, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Milan are waiting for Barcelona to name their price for Ronaldinho, confirms Adriano Galliani.

“Ronaldinho is an important player and now we have to wait and see what Barcelona's demands are,” said the general manager.

The Rossoneri have agreed personal terms with the player some time ago, but the deal collapsed when they failed to agree on the price-tag with Barca.

After Emmanuel Adebayor seemed to move towards Barcelona instead, Milan are looking back to the former World Player of the Year.

He will play with Brazil in the Beijing Olympics along with Milan youngster Alexandre Pato, but recent appearances showed he had put on weight.

“He seemed a little bit overweight, but there can be no doubt the talent is still there.”

Another Brazilian eager to welcome Ronaldinho to the club is Emerson.

“He is very disappointed at the unfortunate events at Barcelona and I can say with certainty that he has a great desire and determination,” commented the former Roma, Juventus and Real Madrid midfielder.

“He told me there was some contact with Milan, but I don't know anything more than that.”
