Good effort by Juve. They did alot better than people expected. It good have gone our way too, which is always a nice thing.

This match highlighted that our defence is the worst part of the team. Boumsong simply isn't good enough. Chiellini and Balzaretti are the only 2 players in defence I would start next season. 2 cb's and the starting backline is set.

Picked up some injury's too, which really fucking sucks. Chiellini could be out for 3 weeks! Palladino sprained his ankle, and Boumsong picked up a calf injury. Our defense has never played together for more than 2-3 games it seems. Some1 is always injured.

Good game, shame about the result.

The injuries suck balls as we've rarely had a settled side. If we had one we'd be top of Serie B imo.

By tonights showing 2 CB are a must.

I noticed the same as well...but you have to remember, Juve's defence looked like a Serie B defence. So it's not that bad as it seemed and they still managed to keep the scoreline very close! Good job Juve...sucks that Chiellini got injured...it didn't seem that bad though!!!

Though if you would of won, you would be saying how great the club is even in Serie B.

Having said this, losing those players to injury in a lose is a hard one to take.

We have a game in hand which, if we win, will see us go top.

Yeah, Chiellini and Balzaretti are fine but Boumsong needs to go. Don't rule out Kovac though, I still think he's a quality player.

As I did when we beat your club in the pre-seon (twice), even with a much weaker lineup than the 1 fielded today. The current squad could compete for a top 4 finish imo. Certainly more depth upfront and in the middle than Fiorentina and Palermo. Its just the backline that is shit, as it was built for serie b.

The match could have easily gone our way. It was a good game as both teams had spells of dominance.

You can't read into friendlies too much anyway as players naturally don't defend as hard as they usually do (due to the risk of injury).

I agree, but having Camo, Nedved, Trezeguet, Del Piero, Buffon, Chiellini, Zanetti in your starting 11 makes us a squad who can give clubs trouble. Not to mention for players like Marchionni, who tore apart serie a last season, on the bench, proves the squad, even now, could compete amongst the top. Definetly wouldn't win the scudetto (which means nothing considering the way Inter won it), but the squad imo could still fight for a 4th place finish.

Upfront and in the middle we definetly have more depth than Palermo, who are in the top 4 right now.

Yeah, we'd get a CL place for sure.

Boumsong is the only weak link in my opinon but even he hasn't been a disaster this season.

Kovac has been pretty dissapointing this season. Considering his form in the world cup, I thought he would be huge for us this season.

I don't think having Boumsong alongside him has helped though, as a pair I don't see them as a very good partnership.
