Gourcuff's Rossoneri resolution Tuesday 8 January, 2008
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Milan midfield starlet Yoann Gourcuff insists that he will stay at San Siro and fight for a first-team place.
The 21-year-old joined the Rossoneri from Rennes in the summer of 2006, but he has played just 26 games since.
Having failed to make the impression expected when he was presented at the club as the heir to Zinedine Zidane, Gourcuff had been linked with a return to France on loan, but he is determined to earn his place.
“I am very happy with the kind words that Carlo Ancelotti has had for me recently,” Gourcuff stated.
“It has been a true source of satisfaction to be at my best in training in Yokohama and during the winter break.
“When the championship restarts we will have a heavy workload and perhaps there will be chances for players who haven’t had that much playing time.
“When the boss calls on us to step in and replace the regulars, it is important that we are ready to show our abilities and that we win his trust.
“Personally, I am happy here and I am hoping to improve with each day so that I can become a starter.”
Gourcuff certainly seems to have no regrets at his decision to leave Ligue 1 for the pressure cooker of Milan.
“Here, we are always involved in important games such as the Champions League encounters, which you can’t experience at a smaller side,” he explained.
“It’s an inevitable side-effect that playing at Milan brings with it the difficulty of having to win each game and always having to play well.”
Milan kick off 2008 by hosting Napoli this weekend.

Rumour has it that Gourcuff will join Bordeaux in the summer.
The french want to buy him, but Milan prefer a loan deal.

See what she does then. You will have basically turned the tables on her. Tried this a few times, always works.

Understandably....
He's still a talent, Milan don't want to lose him.
He needs more games though.

Gourcuff makes loan plea Tuesday 3 June, 2008
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
French starlet Yoann Gourcuff has begged Milan to send him out on loan after struggling to make an impact this season.
The 21-year-old youngster moved to San Siro two seasons ago but has failed to live up to the high expectations put upon him, making just 36 appearances and scoring twice.
“I believe that going out on loan would be the ideal solution for me, it would be the best thing for my career right now,” the midfielder told Ouest France.
“Everything should be solved in the next few hours. The new season will be very important for me.”
Several Ligue 1 teams, such as Paris Saint-Germain and Bordeaux, have already shown their interest in the player – while Palermo and Torino could make an offer too.

Galliani has been saying recently that he will go on loan to Bordeux. Great that it's just a loan move, I really don't want to him to leave Milan all together. He is still a great talent and hopefully with more playing time Milan will notice what a talent he is. Now they need to replace him and the the oldies in the team *cough* Emerson *cough*

Milan Move Not Permanent, Insists Gourcuff
Yoann Gourcuff has indicated hat his loan move to Bordeaux is really just that - a temporary loan.
While some are predicting that when the 21-year-old sets off back to France he will be leaving the San Siro for good, Gourcuff's latest statement suggests that he has other ideas.
"I have given my agreement to [Bordeaux coach] Laurent Blanc a few weeks ago,” he said. "Our phone interview proved to be positive.
"He has been very honest with me and motivated me a lot.
"He is a great coach who shown his talent during his first ever season on the bench.
"It’s now up to me to get prepared to be ready for action.
"Being able to play the Champions League is an asset and I have been lucky to play it in the last two seasons with Milan.
"It permits you to play big matches that help you improve.
"Moving to Bordeaux is the best option for me regarding my current situation.
"I’m glad to be back to France but I was happy in Italy, I settled well, but I just need to get some playing time.
"I might return there next season. Who knows?"
Gourcuff was widely hailed as the “Petit Zinedine Zidane” when he joined the Rossoneri from Rennes in the summer of 2006, but failed to live up to the hype despite a memorable debut.
He can, hoewever, look forward to playing in the Champions League with Bordeaux next term, while Milan have to make due with competing in the Uefa Cup.

Gourcuff: Loan Move Good For Me
AC Milan misifit Yoann Gourcuff insists that a loan move to Bordeaux is the best thing for his development as a player, which has stagnated during his time at the San Siro.
Rossoneri chief Adriano Galliani has confirmed that the attacking midfielder will be sent out on loan, after failing to live up to his promise since arriving from Rennes in 2006.
“I believe that going out on loan would be the ideal solution for me, it would be the best thing for my career right now,” said Gourcuff.
“Everything should be solved in the next few hours. The new season will be very important for me.”
Gourcuff can look forward to being thrust right into the limelight as Bordeaux will be playing Champions League football next term, while Milan will be competing in the Uefa Cup.
