Default Right back

Will the fact that we haven't bought a back up for Cafu come and bite us in the a$$ or will Cafu be able to play as many games as last season on the highest level?
The guy is in his thirties and I don't really understand why we didn't buy Oddo, Cicinho or Bonera for example.

I think the Rossoneri have over extended themselves by buying Gilardino. Time will tell, at least you aren't missing your RB.

It's funny how people make their judgement of a player after just two games and forget what he has done before at a much smaller club that was fighting for relegation.

I don't think milan are prepared to replace what they will eventually lose.

well they are ready to lose sheva with gila there.....but at right back they arent....for maldini they arent and in general they have average strength in depth.

wholesale changes were needed to stay ahead of the game this summer...instead they leave themselves open to another dissapointing season and a major upheaval at the end.

I see maldini and cafu retiring at the season's end, that leaves nesta an stam who also are aging.
Jankulovski cannot possibly fill maldini's shoes, and thee is no substitute for cafu..yet.
Vieri is almost gone and seedorf is getting there, so i see a difficult future ahead for milan.
every team goes through these cycles, but with milan i am confident they will not suffer because they sure know how to build a team.

Gilardino was a stupid purchase. Parma played for gila because they knew he is the only one who could score goals as often as he did. The mentality of relegation fighters always opt to use their best player.. gila . Therefore get the ball to gila was alwys the game plan.
