Crespo deal done, says agent!
Hernan Crespo’s agent has revealed that the striker will definitely remain on loan at Milan next season.
Chelsea have refused to confirm that the deal is done but Fernando Hidalgo, who was present at a meeting between the two clubs earlier today, has no doubts.
"He’ll stay with Milan," he stated. "We’ll sort everything out next week. Chelsea want to wait until then to confirm the move."
It was widely expected that Crespo would stay but Hidalgo has surprised many by revealing that the player will remain on loan.
"Milan have netted another great deal," he added. "Crespo will extend his loan period for one more year, then we’ll see what happens after the World Cup."
Crespo has insisted for months that he didn’t want to go back to Stamford Bridge and his desire has proved key in negotiations.
"When a club wants a player and a player wants a club then there are no problems," continued his representative.
"Crespo’s desire was decisive. That is why he has agreed to take another pay-cut, which means his wages will now be entirely paid my Milan."
The former Inter and Parma striker, who initially struggled to settle at the San Siro this season, was a key figure in their failed attempts to win Lo Scudetto and the Champions’ League.

It certainly doesn't help Chelsea when the player states that he will play no where else but in Italy. They have no bargaining power, the same with Veron. Look for both to stay in Italy, and some future favours going to Stanford bridge.

Pirlo linked with Real Madrid!
Milan have reportedly turned down a bid from Spanish giants Real Madrid for Andrea Pirlo.
The Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Madrid have offered Spanish international midfielder Guti as well as a hefty fee for the Rossoneri’s influential playmaker. But Milan have rejected the offer as Pirlo is an integral part of Carlo Ancelotti’s plans next season.
However, Guti could still arrive at Milan in a straight money deal, but any negotiations will have to wait until the player returns from his holiday.
The San Siro outfit have also been linked with Lazio defender Massimo Oddo. It is rumoured that the player has received an offer of a four-year contract from Milan and that officials from the two clubs will be meeting later in the week to negotiate the transfer itself. Despite the increasing rumours in the Italian Press, neither club have commented.

Pirlo has the ability to totally impress one game, and in another disappear off the face of the earth. Still not consistent enough to be called top class, I'm sure Milan fans would have a "pickle" with my opinion.

Crespo out, Gilardino in?
Rumoured tensions with Chelsea suggest Hernan Crespo might not remain at Milan, though Parma admit the Alberto Gilardino move is coming to a head.
Argentine hitman Crespo told newspapers last week that he was confident of renewing his loan spell at the San Siro with the aid of a pay cut, but it’s claimed problems have hit the deal.
Milan are said to be angry at Chelsea’s persistent interest in Andriy Shevchenko and Gennaro Gattuso, while the Stamford Bridge side considers the £8.6m asking price for Kakha Kaladze to be too high.
The end result could be to bring Crespo back to the Premiership, a blow that would be smoothed over for Coach Carlo Ancelotti by the arrival of Gilardino.
This is another sticking point, as the other main contenders for the Parma top scorer are Chelsea, so the two clubs are duelling on the market.
“Next week we will sit down around the table with Gilardino and discuss everything,” revealed Parma technical director Oreste Cinquini on Radio Radio.
The Italian international and his agent have repeatedly confirmed that their number one choice is Milan, but that a considerably better financial offer from Chelsea will not be dismissed out of hand.
“Alberto has expressed a clear preference for his future, but he is prepared to evaluate other options so as not to penalise Parma. The clubs interested in him are world class and we’ll try to make him happy.

That is too much for Kaladze. Crespo would be third string if they land Gila, he will no doubt not be signed in my opinion.

All I believe out of that is that £8.6m for Kaladze is too much

Crespo saga nears finish!
The tug-of-war between Milan and Chelsea for Hernan Crespo will be resolved this week, insist the Italian club.
A deal for the Argentine to remain on loan with the Rossoneri was believed to have been agreed, but talks have stalled and the move is now in doubt.
"We are still on track and are doing everything that we can in order to keep Crespo," said director general Ariedo Braida.
"The player wants to stay and I think the situation will be sorted out this week. He’ll either stay here or rejoin Chelsea.
"The two parties have agreed details of the loan. It either happens this way or nothing occurs at all."
The South American striker has enjoyed a splendid season at the San Siro and he has again stated that he is not interested in a return to London.
"I’m not enjoying my holidays very much," he told the Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper. "I’m waiting for my agent to call but it is not easy.
"It is a real shame because it seemed as if everything was sorted out."
An agreement was expected to be finalised last week, but negotiations broke down after Milan failed to lower their £8m asking price for Chelsea target Kakha Kaladze.
"Those negotiations have been mixed up with mine and something has gone wrong," added Crespo.
"All I know for sure is that I am a Milan player up to June 30. I hope I can say the same in July."
