No I don't want Adriano at Milan. Someone who doesn't care about football anymore but only about his paycheck and partying shouldn't be welcome at Milan.
Pato is also one of these kids that seems to be overrated. I have seen a few games of him and I wasn't impressed. Maybe it was just a coincidence and it was an exception that he didn't play well in those games but all in all I don't see him succeeding in Milan yet. I'd rather give Oliveira another chance and invest money elsewhere.

Welcome back to TS Adnan
On Adriano I don't agree, I think Milan could turn him around. And how sweet wouldn't that be? Anyway I doubt it will happen...
On Pato, "if the price is right" is my thinking. But he's not worth 10m pounds.

Agree with this ^, that's been my "experience" with Pato too. I've seen a game or two and I really don't get what all the excitement is about, unless I was just unlucky and tuned in when he wasn't playing as well as usual.
For me, Pato < Adriano < Cassano, as far as the recent rumors go. No doubt though, with Borriello and Oliveira rumored to be imminently on their respective ways out the door, we need SOMEONE else. Three strikers is not enough, especially when two have recurring health issues.

Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti has reaffirmed his desire to bring Brazilian starlet Alexandre Pato to the San Siro.
Ancelotti has been in Canada watching Pato play for Brazil’s Under-20 side where he earned his hype with a brace against South Korea.
“The kid really is very good. He’s young, but you can see that he has the ability to become a real phenomenon,” the ex-Juventus tactician said.
Copa Libertadores winners Internacional are reportedly keen to sell the man nicknamed ‘The Duck’ and have set a rescission clause on his contract at around £10m.
However, any transfer attempt will be made difficult by FIFA’s rule that prevents international transfers of players under 18. Pato may have to wait until his birthday on September 2 to make the move.
The other headache at Via Turati is the number of other sides looking to sign the gifted youngster. These clubs reportedly include Inter and Chelsea.
Pato’s agent Gilmar Veloz has confirmed that Inter, Milan, Chelsea and Real Madrid have all made offers.
Although Chelsea are believed to have bid the highest at around £10m, Veloz insists nothing is decided.
“We are looking at the options and we’ll sit down with Internacional and after that we’ll know about his future,” he stated.
Ancelotti’s hopes of winning the race for his signature will be boosted by Pato’s statement that he would love to play alongside Ronaldo and Kaka.
Milan also have the reassurance that it is notoriously hard to get a work permit to join an English side.
“Anderson got a permit to play for Manchester United because he’s known as a player of outstanding quality – I don’t know if Pato will be treated the same way,” Veloz concluded.

They have serious battle with Chelsea then.
It has now been confirmed that Chelsea have made an offer of 20 million euros (£13.5m).
It is the highest official bid for Pato yet, and could well seal the deal.

Chelsea Bid For Pato Confirmed
Alexandre Pato could be on the way to Stamford Bridge after Independiente reportedly received an excellent offer from the London club.
17 year-old Brazilian forward Alexandre Pato may be on World Under-20 Championship duty in Canada at the moment, but his next port of call could be Stamford Bridge.
The young Internacional striker has been subject to monitoring from Real Madrid, Inter, Milan and Chelsea, and each club has made an official approach for the player. However, it is understood that Chelsea's offer is superior.
With a bid allegedly of approximately 20 million euros (£13.5m), the Blues may yet have the best chance of landing the Parana-born youngster, who has already established himself as a regular with the Copa Libertadores holders.
However, the exact circumstances of the bid are not known, and nor is the player's minimum release clause. The Daily Telegraph claims that the clause could range from anywhere between £11m and £15m, with Chelsea's bid being in this region.
Inter have been linked with an even better bid, but that news is far from confirmed. Milan, meanwhile, have clarified that they will not pay big money for an unproven player.
Pato's agent, Gilmar Veloz, is looking to move his client on and is expected to travel to London with the player's father to strike a deal with the Chelsea hierarchy.
The agent stated that gaining a work permit could be problematic, but also emphasised that the options are still very much open for Pato, saying, "We have not decided whether he would go to Chelsea, Milan, Inter or Real Madrid."
This could potentially be the start of a bidding war, but at the moment Chelsea seem to be the favourites to land "The Duck." The player is still under 18 and cannot legally move, but all clubs concerned will seek to tie up his signature before his birthday on 2 September, at which point he can join his new teammates.

20 million euros...!!
For that kind of money, Chelsea's welcome to have him. Milan would be smart to not attempt to beat that kind of bid.
I still don't get why Pato is in such incredibly high demand, while plenty of other would-be South American starlets are going completely ignored. I'm thinking of Fernando Belluschi (River), Mauro Zarate (ex-Velez, now Al Sadd)... they've both been victims of fluctuating form, but even when they were on fire-- like Mauro's 12 goals in a single apertura-- no European club was throwing silly money at them like that.

This is interesting:

While a big name is likely to arrive in the near future, the Diavoli are also being linked with Lecce’s Azzurrini marksman Graziano Pelle'.
The Calabrian did his cause no harm last term with a 10-goal haul at Cesena and is seen as one of the peninsula’s brightest young talents.

Milan open Heinze talks
Milan have contacted Manchester United over the proposed transfer of versatile defender Gabriel Heinze, according to reports in the British Press. The ex-Paris Saint Germain star had looked set to join Juventus, but that move collapsed after the departure of Bianconeri Coach Didier Deschamps. Liverpool are also believed to be involved in the race to sign the Argentine international, although United would prefer to sell him to a club outside of England. However, any deal will have to wait until Heinze returns from Copa America duty in Venezuela.

Not entirely surprising, since we've been linked with him before.

^ Yep. Can't see him play LB over Jankulovski, neither CB over Maldini.
So if he comes, he'll warm the bench.

Milan on Rossi trail
Sunday 8 July, 2007
European champions Milan are set to make an offer to Manchester United for Italian starlet Giuseppe Rossi.
The youngster has been made available for transfer by the Old Trafford outfit given the likely arrival of Carlos Tevez from West Ham.
Parma have already made a £6m offer for the Under-21 international, but the Italian giants are ready to outbid them.
Stories in the peninsula on Sunday claim that Rossi would be willing to join Milan, even if he does have a bond with Parma after his goals kept them in the top-flight during his loan stint last term.
Milan are expected to make a formal financial proposal once Vice-President Adriano Galliani holds transfer status talks with owner Silvio Berlusconi on Tuesday.
The Rossoneri are looking for new striking options, especially as Ricardo Oliveira is on the verge of joining Real Zaragoza on loan.
His departure will leave boss Carlo Ancelotti with just three options in the shape of Ronaldo, Alberto Gilardino and veteran Pippo Inzaghi.
Juventus, at the request of former Parma boss Claudio Ranieri, and Porto are also understood to be pondering a Rossi bid.
Meanwhile, Galliani has rejected claims in Spain that Kaka’s new contract – which they are working on – will include a rescission clause in it.
“These things don’t exist in Italian football,” noted the official. “This rumour has nothing to do with reality.”
Milan are keen to tie down the Brazilian to a fresh deal in a bid to keep him from wanting a Real Madrid transfer.

Hmm... is Rossi good enough for Milan?

Buy and lend to Parma would be my preference, he would become a "Boriello" if he stayed at Milan.

Good point. Though (and I know I sound like a broken record here) with our current assortment of only three strikers, and two of them being questionable health-wise, and so many competitions we're involved in, if we don't sign anyone else then I'm sure he'd get play. But that's a very big "if".
