Default Carlo said no to Roma

Quote:
Carlo Ancelotti has insisted he has no intention of leaving Milan to take over at former club Roma.

Ancelotti is a favourite son of the Giallorossi, but has quickly moved to stop rumours that he will walk away from coaching Milan to return to the club.

"I can't go to Roma," said Ancelotti - who is still battling for the Serie A title and the UEFA Champions League.

"I'm happy to stay here with Milan, though obviously it is hard to say no to them.

"I don't need to wait until the summer to make a decision. I am staying at Milan."

Zdenek Zeman and Serse Cosmi are current favourites to be handed the role, although Cesare Prandelli could be a dark horse.

Lyon make Tomasson move

Quote:
French champions Lyon have made a move for Milan striker Jon Dahl Tomasson.

Danish striker Tomasson has seen his first team chances limited at Milan since the arrival of Hernan Crespo, while Filippo Inzaghi would also be above him in the pecking order when fit.

French giants Lyon, who have already wrapped up their fourth consecutive league title, are looking for a top striker to bolster their squad for next season.

Despite coach Paul Le Guen's impending departure, Lyon are still looking for new recruits as they look to improve their chances of going further in next season's UEFA Champions League.

The 29-year-old Tomasson will be allowed to leave Carlo Ancelotti's side, either on loan or in a permanent deal.

Lyon, meanwhile, are still searching for a new manager to replace Le Guen, with chairman Jean-Michel Aulas set to meet prospective candidates over the weekend.

Aulas is due to meet Gerard Houllier and departing Sochaux boss Guy Lacombe over the weekend, although former Nantes boss Raynald Denoueix is the favourite to land the job.

Aulas would still prefer to get either Monaco boss Didier Deschamps or Lille manager Claude Puel, but their current club situations mean that they are unlikely to be able to leave.

Tomasson rejects Depor approach

Jon Dahl Tomasson has disappointed at Milan this season, but insists he won’t be accepting a move to Deportivo La Coruna.

“I have said it before and I will say it again: I have a contract tying me to the Rossoneri until 2009 and will respect that,” pointed out the Dane.

“I am happy that other clubs are showing an interest in my services, but I do not wish to leave the San Siro.”

Tomasson has been one of the most likely candidates to move on in the summer after a campaign in which he netted eight goals in 39 appearances between Serie A, the Champions’ League and Coppa Italia.

It has been heavily reported that Deportivo La Coruna are willing to offer a three-year deal for the former Newcastle United and Feyenoord man, while several Premiership clubs were also interested.

Milan are looking to strengthen their strike force, although Hernan Crespo is increasingly likely to return to Chelsea once his loan period expires.

Spanish newspaper ‘As’ maintains that the Rossoneri are battling with Chelsea and Inter for the signature of Atletico Madrid starlet Fernando Torres.

Milan must sell him immediately!

Milan plan major coup!!

Quote:
Milan have revealed their plans to sign a big-name player, as Real Madrid insist Ronaldo is not leaving the club.

Following Milan's failure to win either Serie A or the UEFA Champions League, the club are determined to give themselves a lift by enticing a major star to San Siro over the summer.

The chequebook is likely to be opened by the Rossoneri, with the club hoping to arrange a permanent deal for on-loan striker Hernan Crespo.

But Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has confirmed that the deposed Italian champions have grander plans than just signing Crespo.

Galliani voiced his desire to make a major splash in the transfer market and claims the club already know who they are going to sign.

"Milan will make a big coup," affirmed Galliani.

"We will sign a big champion and we already know who he is."

The Rossoneri have been linked with a swoop for Ronaldo, despite the Brazilian having a buyout clause of €180 million in his contract.

Real, though, have responded to the rumours by declaring they have no intention of even entering into negotiations to sell the former Internazionale ace.

"Real Madrid are not going to listen to any offers nor negotiate the sale of their forward Ronaldo," read a club statement.

"We want to make it absolutely clear that, following the information published in the daily Marca, neither the president, nor any person at the club, will study an offer for the Real player.

"The club, therefore, are not going to negotiate the departure of the best forward in the world."

Wow € 60m is a lot of money, ofcourse Ronaldo produce a lot of goals but to pay € 60m and a heavy salary is wasted with cash- BUT WHAT SAY THE FANS OF INTER about Ronaldo maybe joins Milan?

I totally agree, I will be totally surprised if they keep him for next season. Most Milan fans hate him.

Milan net Jankulovski, confirm Udinese

Quote:
Udinese coach Luciano Spalletti has claimed that Marek Jankulovski is set to join Milan.

Jankulovski has been linked with a move away from Udinese for some time with the likes of Milan, Juventus and Chelsea all believed to be interested in his services.

The Czech Republic international is regarded as one of the best defenders in Europe and Udinese were resigned to losing him to a top club.

Milan are now thought to have won the race for his signature, according to Spalletti.

"Yes, Jankulovski is Milan's. That is what I have been told," Spalletti told Italy's Sky Sport television on Sunday.

Jankulovski missed Udinese's final game of the season on Sunday, ironically, against Milan.

Meanwhile, Spalletti hopes to stay at the club after guiding them into the UEFA Champions League after helping them finish fourth in the table.

"Probably we will realise tomorrow what we did," said Spalletti

"My future? I hope to stay here, I must talk with the president with tranquillity and we will decide.

"I have one year left on my contract and he talked to me before the end of the season, so now I'll hear what he wants to tell me.

"As for players, I think it will be difficult keeping all of them. There are important players who will have to evaluate their future, (Vincenzo) Iaquinta, (David) Pizarro, Giampiero) Pinzi and so on.

"They will have to talk with president in next days too."

As I said in other threads.. Jankulovski has already signed for Milan.. damn! He would be perfect for Juventus!

Its just not a few, I've seen banners in the Milan curva with not very nice things written about him. Why Carlo took out Crespo and put that guy in is beyond words?????????

BTW, welcome back. I was voting for Milan in the CL final, they left me with a sore stomach though. :nervous:
