You're right Joel...i don't see him as a first choice. Milan can't afford to take the gamble. It will be interesting to see him in Milan colours though!

They've still got their eye on Buffon in my opinion.

I mean Storari is a good keeper, there's no doubt about that, but is he really Milan quality? From the looks of things Kalac may leave in the summer along with Dida.

Buffon joinging Milan depend on Juve. Gigi wants Juve to compete for the Scudetto. If Juve can sign important players, then i can see Buffon staying. If he feels Juve may lack in some areas, he will jump ship to Milan. Storari can be a #2 in Milan without a doubt. The only way he can be a number one is if Milan load up on high quality defenders.

Default Gattuso wants Ronaldinho

Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has said that he hopes Ronaldinho will sign for the club.

The midfield workhorse believes that the Barcelona genius is exactly the type of player the Serie A club need.

"I hope that Ronaldinho comes to Milan," confirmed Gattuso.

"He is one of those players that play's in a position where he can really make a difference."

Gattuso also echoed coach Carlo Ancelotti's praise of Ronaldo, after the Brazilian striker's lively debut against Livorno.

"Ronaldo came on and showed great enthusiasm, as soon as he entered the field he showed his quality," he said.

Wow Gattuso's a bright one: "He is one of those players that play's in a position where he can really make a difference."

So thick... Anyway, what player wouldnt want him at their club. He's class.

Milan would have to change their formation if he signs, I wouldn't rule out this move though.

However, I've got a feeling Kaka would have to make way.

Latest rumors: Maybe Ze Roberto and/or Juan, but no Buffon or Camo.

Galliani: No AC Milan interest for Juventus pair
tribalfooball.com - March 25, 2007

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani says all interest in Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon is now dead after securing Dida to a new contract earlier this month.

"Buffon is an excellent player, but we confirmed our trust in Dida recently, said Galliani. "He will still be our goalkeeper as he represents our future."

Galliani also took the opportunity to dismiss links with Barcelona's Gianluca Zambrotta and Mauro Camoranesi of Juventus.

"We went for Zambrotta along with Zlatan Ibrahimovic last summer, but we couldn't sign them as we were not sure of our place in the Champions League," he added.

"Therefore Zambrotta will not arrive and it is the same case for Camoranesi."

The Buffon comments make sense.

No Camoranesi? I guess Inter will be interested.

I like Ze Roberto but his age is an issue.

Both Juan and Ze Roberto would be good buys. Juan is seriously underrated, he's a good defender. He wouldn't be a starter for Brazil if he wasn't good enough. Plus Juan scores often I'd say, usually from headers.

Ze Roberto, well he's one of the greatest wingers I ever saw. It was sad to see him leave. The gap he left at Bayern hasn't been covered yet. As Joel said, age is a factor, but he can do good things still.

Based on his age I hesitate to get too excited about him-- it would be nice if we sign some younger players who can stay with the side longer-- but I'm also not going to count someone out just because they're an older player. If he's in great form, then he'll be useful, regardless of how old he is.

AC Milan to recall three fringe players for next term
tribalfooball.com - March 27, 2007

AC Milan intend to add three of their fringe players to the senior squad for next season.

Lino Marzorati and Nicola Pozzi both will return from Empoli, while Massimo Donati, currently impressing at Atalanta, will also join the Milan squad for next term.

Being now something of a Pozzi fan after the finger situation, this sounds good to me.

Yeah the news has been a over. But they are heading more strongly about Donati and Marzoratti rather than Pozzi! I would loev Pozzi and Lino in the team!

Pozzi is a decent prospect but he'll most likely be loaned out again next season.

I can't see him getting many games if he stays.
