Rivaldo Close To Mexican Move?
Víctor Borba Ferreira ‘Rivaldo’ may be about to start what would be his fourth foreign affair after Spain, Italy and Greece. Mexican outfit Necaxa are interested in landing the veteran playmaker from current club Olympiacos.
The idea is that the Brazilian would arrive to cover the long-term injury suffered by fellow Brazilian forward Fabiano Pereira and the ‘Hidrorrayos’ President, Javier Pérez Teuffer, has long harboured the dream of bringing the player to Necaxa.
“We’ve already made an offer both to Olympiacos and the player, and we would like to offer Rivaldo another chance to win the Libertadores, plus we’re willing to equal or better his economic agreement in Greece”, explained the enthusiastic exec.
The move won’t be smooth as Rivaldo recently renewed his contract with the Greek club to the tune of 2.2 million Euros and seems happy to stay in Greece.
If the option should fall through there’s talk of a bid for two other ex-Barça men: Juan Román Riquelme or Jordi Cruyff, playing in Metalurk Donetsk.
