Chivas New Stadium
Stadium is Scheduled to open in 2006 for the 100th Chivas anniversary
the arquitect is the same that did the monument at the site of the twin towers NY.
so we say good bye to our old glorious 2 time WC host "Jalisco Stadium"
and welcome a new era.

Well acctually we are worried abuot the capacity Jalisco stadium
has an official capacity of 85.000 but in a good game can reach up to 95,000
and this was plan only for 45,000 - 55,000 the last news
is that Jorge Vergara ( owner ) ask the arquitecs to plan
for an extra floor of premium seats which will delay contrucction 30 more days...
the first "rock" ( it was a tree acctualy ) has been placed.
But it has to be finished by Jun - July 2006

tournament 1982 - 1983 was a peak for the clasico
and Chivas kick amaricas arse..literally
after loosing the first match at Jalisco stadium 2 - 1
they went to azteca stadium and manage to defeat
america with a sound 3 - 0
then they kick their butts LOL
