So Drogba then, with out the snazzy long ball dig. trust me , if the option comes up to hit a ball long to this guy, one of your players will do it.
He looks like a good catch.

4 in 4 now in the ACN. I'm beginning to think his signing is going to be far more signification than first appeared.
|
really a surprise capture ehh , some how he reminds me of vidic.he popped up suddenly and in his 1st full season really impressed every one along wth rio.
he might be our solution for situation in games like the spurs one in the near future

Vidic cost 5m. Manucho was signed for nothing (don't quote me on that) after a 3 week trial. It will be an insanely good piece of business if he manages to cut it in our first team.

I just hope he can adapt, he seems to definitely have the talent.
It's a really exciting signing, I wonder if SAF will be labelled as good as Wenger in the market if Manucho is a success. Somehow I doubt it...

Vidic was playing incredibly at international level and was raising plenty of eyebrows.
But Manucho, there isn't a player so well known now that suited the label "unknown" so well only two months ago.

I forgot to say this last week but Manucho scored on his debut for Panathinaikos, a left foot volley from inside the box.
A friend of mine who supports PAO said his touch was generally quite poor through the game but I think it's a bit harsh to judge him on that based on one appearance in a league at a level which is higher than the one he used to play at

agreed on that one kyan, new surrounding, new team mates, every thing new but his old self of scoring was there and thats big plus for a player in that situation.
i believe by the time he arrives back to us he will be good to challenge for a place.

Manucho Pining For United Return
Quote:
Manchester United’s Angolan international striker Manucho admits that he can’t wait to fulfil his dream and represent the Old Trafford Club next season.
Speaking to Setanta Sports, the on-loan Panathinaikos hit-man expressed his delight after Sir Alex Ferguson revealed that he would be called back for pre-season training and have a key involvement for The Red Devil’s next season.
“This is great news because my dream is to play for Manchester United since I signed for them in January,” stated the powerful striker.
Manucho was initially signed by Ferguson in January on a three-year contract, but was immediately loaned to Greek club Panathinaikos due to a lack of clarity over work permit issues.
The forward has impressed in Greece, scoring some important goals, while he also came to the attention of world football fans with some impressive performances for his nation in the recent African Cup of Nations.
“During my time in Greece, I feel that I've adapted well to European football and it's been a good test for me ahead of playing in England," he added. “I hope I can take my chance and prove that I can play in The Premier League.”
He has been capped eleven times for his country, scoring six goals and after impressing in recent months, Manucho is expected to feature regularly next season at Old Trafford due to the persistent injury problems of Louis Saha and the general lack of resources the Champions League finalists have up-front.

I'm unsure what to believe, according to my mate he's been poor for PAO, scored a few goals, but his touch isn't good enough and he doesn't seem up to pace...
I'm trying to stay positive, so we'll see what happens.

Manucho’s application for a work permit was finally granted in August and the powerful striker is relishing his opportunity at Old Trafford. "I have been a fan of Manchester United since I was very young and have worked hard to make my dream reality."

I only just noticed this. I think he's still injured at the moment anyway but having an extra option (particularly up front) at this point of the transfer window is a relief.
EDIT: to be fair I'm only a day late
Manucho close to Reds break
Quote:
MANUCHO is edging closer to making his long-awaited debut for United.
The 25-year-old Angolan joined from Petro Atletico on a three-year deal last January but the Reds could not secure a work permit straight away.
He was in the action at the African Nations Cup in January where he was a big hit before being sent out on loan to Greek side Panathanaikos until the end of the season.
United were finally granted a work permit in the summer and Manucho was pencilled in to join the European and Premier League champions on their pre-season tour of South Africa.
But he's still waiting to make his debut after breaking his metatarsal in his right foot.
"He is still recovering from a metatarsal injury and has done bits of training," explained Sir Alex Ferguson.
"It is quite promising in terms of recovery from the injury. But he is still well short of a competitive match."
