EPL: Arsenal 2-2 Man United [3.11.2007]
I can't wait for this game. I hope neither team goes 4-5-1 and i hope neither team has a defensive strategy. These are by far the best attacking teams in the league and they are the best teams to watch. This should eclipse the Liverpool-Arsenal game for entertainment. The next 5 days are going to be painfully slow.

Will Evra be back? O'Shea at left back he will be the obvious weakness, Eboue will kill him for pace.
----------------------VDS-------------------
Brown-------Rio---------Vidic---------Evra
--------------Fletcher--Hargreaves------
Ronaldo------------Tevez----------Giggs/Nani---
----------------------Rooney-----------
Anderson has looked really good, maybe he could still be in the side, but Fletcher likely to come in to secure the middle?

I think Arsenal will almost certainly go with a 4-5-1 since Adebayor's injured and it's a huge game to start Eduardo in since he's been used sparingly already this season. Although then again Arsenal are at home, and will be expected to take the game to us...
I think we'll go with what Olzy posted above, Fletcher always performs well in the big games and while his passing is nowhere near as good as Anderson's if Arsenal are going to play a 4-5-1 2 DMs/CMs would be a good idea so that our wingers and strikers are given extra space.
I really hope Evra is playing, O'Shea, as lovable as he is, isn't a top defender anymore and we'll need a pacey FB to cover Eboue/Hleb & Sagna's runs.
I think United could win this game, but it really could go either way, a 0-0 draw is probably most likely I think, especially since both have been scoring so much recently, they may struggle against each other and cancel each other out.
I think Rio and Vidic can handle Adebayor if he's by himself. Unfortunately I think United may play into Arsenal's hands with Tevez and Rooney up front, 2 small, quick, strong strikers, against Arsenal's short, quick strong, CBs. I think Saha would have been a good option since Arsenal's CBs can be beaten in the air. BUT Rooney & Carlitos definitely have the magic in them to score out of nothing and if they play one-touch, two-touch interchanges like they did v Boro I don't think even Toure and Gallas can stop them.
I'm gonna say 2-1 United but I'm still thinking 0-0 at the smae time.

Both teams on super form but I think the difference will be that United don't have Scholes and Arsenal have a form Fabregas.
...one counter attack later.

Perhaps... but I don't think form matters so much in such huge games, although what u say about Fabregas's form also applies to the United strike-force which has been so prolific of late...
And we've been missing Scholes for a few games and it hasn't stopped our attacking flow, and last season in our 7-1 win v Roma Scholes was suspended, Fletcher and Carrick did the job that day. We have enough creativity in Ronaldo, Nani/Giggs, Tevez, Rooney & Anderson even without Scholes....

I honestly think that man united have more of a chance of winning this game...losing scholes is a blow but so is not having Van Persie and Adebayor. I think that yesterday against Liverpool the Arsena back four seemed a bit shakey...and Man united's attackers have been on flying form...Even tho I think that Man united can win this last year Man U were favourites and they lost so this game is tbf unpredictable, but i'm sure it will provide a lot of entertainment for the neutral hopefully with a lot of goals.

who will Arsenal play upfront if they dont have Adeabeyor. Eduardo? Walcott certaintly cant play a lone role.
And I think if it's Bretender I think ur back 2 in Vidic and Rio can deal with him easily.
It's about time Ronaldo has a good game against Arsenal. I went to the last game at the emirates and he did sweet f.a all game against Clichy.
Giggs was the main tormentor he was playing in the hole and Arsenal couldnt deal with it.

It's not like Arsenal lump the ball up to anybody is it though, they just need somebody to put themselves about.

one goal will open this game WIDE open... this game is going to be brilliant i think... two teams that attack with such flair... hopefully the managers wont ruin it for the fans!!! hahaha.
im actually pretty confident about this game. evra and brown are the keys to united victory because arsenal has such incredible pace down the wings.

Reds primed and ready
Sir Alex Ferguson can't wait for Saturday's top-of-the-table clash between Arsenal and United at the Emirates Stadium.
"We couldn't be going into the game in any better shape or form," he told journalists at his pre-match press conference. "But I'm sure Arsene Wenger will say the same thing."
Indeed, both sides are flying at the moment, with United riding high on the back of four consecutive four-goal hauls.
The Reds' boss also revealed he would have a full squad – Paul Scholes and long-term casualties aside – to choose from.
Patrice Evra is fit again after injuring his calf in Kyiv, Owen Hargreaves came through last weekend's clash against Middlesbrough unscathed, Louis Saha is available and Michael Carrick, who's not played since fracturing his elbow on 2 October, trained all week with the first-team.
"We have everyone fit apart from Paul Scholes. It is the strongest position we have been so far this season with the squad available," declared Sir Alex. "Carrick has trained all week, Owen Hargreaves came through his game last week, played 65 minutes and he is ready for tomorrow also
"Saha's available and it could not come at a better time because in big games you hope you are going to have your strongest team available and apart from Paul Scholes I think we have that."
Gary Neville, although he played for United's Reserves team on Thursday night, won't be involved, even though Sir Alex said it's "great to have him back."

Will be watching this game eagerly before we head up to Blackburn, guess a draw would be a good result for Liverpool & Chelsea (and probably United as well i guess), but i fancy Manchester Utd to sneak this 2-1 for some reason. Cant explain it, i just think they will stifle Arsenal this time.
