I'm not sure but I seem to remember having a thread like this (minus the crappy name) last season. If not this thread is for keeping an eye on the Man Utd players out on loan, what they're up to and how they are getting on.

Stoke City sign Shawcross on loan

Stoke have signed Manchester United youngster Ryan Shawcross on loan.

Defender Shawcross, 19, who has joined on a six-month loan deal, is Stoke boss Tony Pulis' fourth summer signing.

Shawcross could play against Cardiff on Saturday and follows Richard Cresswell, Stephen Wright and Jon Parkin in moving to Stoke this summer.

Shawcross made his United debut in their Carling Cup win at Crewe last season, before then moving to Belgium club Royal Antwerp on loan.

Ryan makes dream start

United youngster Ryan Shawcross enjoyed an eventful Stoke City debut, scoring a fine goal and conceding a penalty against Cardiff City.

Fortunately for the towering defender, who is on loan at the Britannia Stadium until January, his goal turned out to be the winner.

Potters goalkeeper Steve Simonsen kept out Steven MacLean's penalty, ensuring that the 19-year-old's neat first-half volley sealed three points for Tony Pulis' side.

"Ryan took his goal with aplomb and I think he was surprised as anyone to see it go in," Potters boss Pulis told Stoke City World.

"For the penalty he got caught out on the wrong side of the defender and he looked tired as the game wore on.

"He is still young but has great potential and we need to make sure we look after him."

Shawcross scored again, the 6 foot 4 defender scored a header I believe, Stoke going to penalties now.

Reserves midfielder Ritchie Jones has joined Yeovil Town on loan until December 31, 2007. Russell Slade's League One side, who lost their opening league match of the season and have also been knocked out of the Carling Cup, have signed Jones, 20, to bolster their midfield.

Not quite a loaned out player but on a similar theme:

Teenager Darron Gibson became the third Red in 12 months to win an international cap before starting a competitive match for United when he appeared in the Republic Of Ireland's 4-0 win over Denmark last night.

Gibson came on at half-time for Andy Reid and had an immediate impact when his 54th-minute shot proved too hot for goalkeeper Jesper Christiansen. The Dane parried the ball into the path of Shane Long, who slotted home his first of the night.

Last September, Reds defender Jonny Evans played in Northern Ireland's memorable 3-2 win over Spain, while goalkeeper Ben Foster made his England bow (also against Spain) in February 2007. Both players are still to pull on a United shirt in a competitive match.

Gibson, on the other hand, has tasted first-team action, albeit just once as a 76th-minute substitute in United's 2005 Carling Cup tie against Barnet. He spent last season on loan at Royal Antwerp, where he played a large part in the Belgian side's push for promotion, and is highly regarded by coaching staff at Old Trafford.

More recently, Gibson joined United on the recent pre-season tour of Asia and played against Shenzhen FC and Guangzhou Pharmaceutical. He then turned out against Doncaster Rovers and Glentoran FC earlier this month.

great to hear our youngsters are getting the recognition from their respective international duties.

Not really a loan signing.

But i was watching the Brazil u17 game the other day vs some team and Fabio (the player who will come in teh summer) scored 2 goals in 10 minutes. He was playing on the right but is naturally left footed which is weird.

He really looks a great prospect the two twins which coming in the summer apparantly also have Portugese passports.

Aren't they both left footed though? One plays left back and one right back.

From watching the game , I don't think both left footed, two comedy defending goals for Fabio, one of the shoulder other no one bortherd to mark him, guy plays more like Alves bombing down the flank, the other brother is a bit more calm and collective and IMO better of the brothers, taticaly and in technique, be interesting to see them play England both good attacking players haven't been tested defensivly yet, a team like England should be tougher test then NZ or Korea,


You guys haven't mentioned Welbeck got two goals in his first game in world cup under 17 against NZ, played very well, got a lot of credit from an obvious baised commentary towards Arsenal from two rubbish commentators. though I guess this wrong thread, but I haven't see it anywhere else so I thought I post.

But I saw the twins play against England,both very talented going forward and can defend, be interesting to see them play in England next year, though maybe give them full seasons in Brazil or loan them out in Europe, both very fast, great technique and exciting to watch I must say and one of them got a Chelsea player sent off, so nice one .

Ye i heard about Wellbeck, the guy is a massive talent if natured but so was rossi

Fabio i heard in the other youth competitions he scored 11 goals, at any level for a right back that is an amazing record.
