2) Not at all tough to pass instead of shooting from 35 yards when Tevez and Rooney are free. He's a winger, he's supposed to be a creator. That's what he was bought for. But because he prefers to play for himself people like Rooney have had to be sacrificed. Rooney's been forced to play on the right wing far too much because Ronaldo refuses to do his job.
|
Now any sense and you'd know that you tend to pass the ball to your leading goalscorer a touch more. Ronaldo is the man with the goals, so we'l make him the man with the ball too. And clearly, any "sacrifices" have been worth it. You simply don't understand fluent football, where chances can be made for players who don't have the number 9 on the back of their shirts. But you can hardly be blamed for that can you?
United needed a goalscorer, Portugal needed a goalscorer. Ronaldo stepped up on both demands. And because he stepped up, he's the best in the world. Your jealousy should bring a smile to the face of any United fan, or Portuguese person.

Let's be real here guys, The Rule is right. If you don't play football in a certain way then it's not right. You're not allowed to be innovative, if you don't play 4-4-2 with a 6 foot something striker heading balls crossed from your wide-men then that's the equivalent to cheating really.

Jealous?? I wouldn't take Ronaldo over Torres, or Gerrard. Both are far better.
And while you may think that the sacrifices and regression of Wayne Rooney now, we'll discuss this again in two years when Ronaldo has gone off to Madrid and Rooney hasn't been able to step up having been held back for too long.

Yeah that's pretty much what it seems like:
Quote:
What is Cristiano's principle position?
Answer - Winger
What is a winger job description?
Creates chances for strikers, provide width to attacks and make crosses, trackback and help fullbacks in defensive situations.
Ronaldo does none of these things.
Being selfish is not in a wingers job description.
|
When you say job description you're assuming that he's supposed to play as an orthodox winger, he's not. Using that as an argument to put him down is weak.

Any manager would ask his midfielders for 20-20 as opposed to 42-8 because it makes the teams less reliant on one player for its goals and it makes the midfielder a more complete player.
|
Comments like these saying he's not considered a complete player and therefore he's not a top player despite being much more productive overall than a 20-20 player.

I feel that if Ronaldo was to leave it would not be in his best interest. While he is a great player if he was to go to a team like Real Madrid I don't think that he would be as affective. At Man Utd he has Rooney who works so hard behind the scenes to help get Ronaldo most of his chances, at Real Ruud and Raul would never be as self less as Rooney, they are both out and out strikers who look to wingers to set them up they would never work so hard, like Rooney, to set Ronaldo up. Of course Ronaldo sets up his own goals as well but Rooney imo is an important factor to his succes.
Also on the whole Real saga I personally think they are not fully to blame, what they say is if he wants to leave all he needs to do is contact them and they will do their utmost to try and sign him. However if in every other report he changes his mind, then Real will get mixed signals. No doubt the press will twist his words, but he should just choose Man Utd or Real atm and at interviews specifically tell the press he doesn't or does want to leave so as to not cause confusion.
just my 2 cents

So Torres and Gerard are both better players? so when was the last time either of them scored 42 goals in 48 appearances at the top level? you'll have to remind me,

if i remember correctly didnt you make a similar prediction concerning Ronaldo,in a thread a few years back, something along the lines of him being a one trick pony who will never be good enough to make it at the top level,or words to that effect anyway,i cant find the post in question to quote it,but my point is that i dont think your predictions are up to much so if you dont mind ill give this one the same amount of credibility as that one was worth, none at all.
