Rule, if you can't appreciate quality, that's your own problem. We at "Castle Greycastle" are quite happy with the World's best player being one of the many jewells in our crown. And a Champions League. And a League title. Maybe if being a "one-man team" courtesy of a "showpony" wins you Domestic and European glory, you lot should try it. Unless, of course, you're happy with NOTHING.

We on the other hand have wonderful young players who are going to get better and better over the next few years and have no intentions of leaving us, we've got a manager who's young and still learning and mastering his ideas(and far far far better than Slur Alice was at the same age). We have a new stadium on the way too. A far nicer one than Castle Greyskull will ever be.

Firstly, you don't have the worlds best player. Kaka is safely contracted to Milan. Nor do you have the second best player, he's in Barcelona.

Now, i'll address yourself and the father of Europe at the same time, so pay close attention.

1) Steven Gerrard is a team player. Football is a team game. Any manager would ask his midfielders for 20-20 as opposed to 42-8 because it makes the teams less reliant on one player for its goals and it makes the midfielder a more complete player.

2) Ronaldo had twice as many shots as Torres and scored only 7 more goals. That is fact. Do you honestly think Fernando Torres wouldn't have scored another 15-20 goals if he had twice as many shots? Anyone got assist numbers or key pass numbers for Torres over the season?

3) Torres scored more "winning" goals than Ronaldo over the season, that's a fact. He scored more goals that won us games, as opposed to just giving us a bigger lead or scoring goals that were equalised than Ronaldo.


Now i'd like to point out for all the sofa dwellers among you, that i never once said Ronaldo didn't have a marvelous season. He did. But what i have tried to educate you on is the truth. He's greed, he's over-selfish. He's a winger who won't create for his team-mates. He plays for himself. I would doubt there's a more unpopular player in England right now. Drogba might be close, but Ronaldo is still more disliked. He constantly cheats to get free kicks and when cheating doesn't work he throws tantrums and abuses referees. He used to dive constantly, he's cut down on that but has added a new variety of cheating, he runs across the pitch, keeping his opponent between himself and the ref. He knocks the ball into the opponents path and then stops running. Claiming he's been pulled back. And referees buy it constantly.

One last point, he's one of the worst free kick takers i've ever seen.
