ITV axe Rio's wind up show!
Quote:
'ITV executives have axed Rio Ferdinand's All-Star Wind-Ups show - following a number of filming disasters. The show got off to a poor star last month when Jayne Middlemiss needed medical attention after being targeted. Producers had trapped the TV presenter in a lift, without realising that she suffers from claustrophobia.
'A second stunt involving former EastEnders star Dean Gaffney also went badly. Executives tried to 'kidnap' the actor in a limo, however, not only did he rumble the trick, but hidden cameras failed to pick up any footage of the incident.
'The series was due to start airing later this month, but ITV have now decided to pull the plug. A source told The Sun: "It seems to have, ahem, slipped out of the schedules. Everything was just going wrong and we could not see there was a way to salvage the show." An ITV spokesman confirmed: "The production did not work on our timeline."'

Red Issue - Latest News: RIO TV SHOW DROPPED
not really a football story as such, but i seen the one he did last year just before the world cup and it was mildly amusing(especially seeing A$hley cole shit his pants )and i proberbly would of watched this show but with the likes of Jayne"no tits" middlemiss and Dean "butt ugly" Gaffney it seems we wont be missing much.

They scrapped the show because stunts were going wrong and filming wouldn't be finished in time. You might have thought it was crap (I did too by the way) but that has nothing to do with why it's been scrapped.

People like reality shows, you don't hjave to pay writes , to write a script or actors to act, wich they really hit the nail in getting Rio who can barely think let alone act/talk, I think main problem was no one was going to watch it.
To go on a further note , I blame the show for England poor world cup performence .
