Champions v Bolton
I'm going to this one, so wanted to start the thread before I leave tomorrow for my flight to Manchester (visiting Big Norm too).
Our early season schedule from hell is finally behind us. Pompey, Dippers and Chelski all away and without Ronny too was a tough ask. Now, it's Bolton at home, and with all due respect for Bolton, we should win this comfortably.
VDS has had an horrendous start, but as it's Bolton at home, I would start with him, however, had Foster been fit, I would have started with him.
My team would be: -
VDS
Gaz Rio Vidic Evra
Ronny Hargo Scholes Park
Rooney
Berba
I hate having to leave Carlitos out, but we can't play our top 4 attackers, even against Bolton !!
I predict 4-0. And a seriously big drinking session with Big Norm, Robbo and Big Paul !!!!
I dread Sunday morning.........................

I feel sorry for Tevez of late. I think he is an absolutely fantastic player, but Berbatov's arrival seems to have brought some question marks about whether he merits a starting spot, which seems crazy to me.
Tevez is a big game player for United, I am a massive Rooney fan also but I think Tevez has proven himself more capable than Rooney at handling pressure and delivering. It will be sad to see The Apache sitting on the bench this weekend.

again i think rooney should partner tevez.we all know howfruitfull it is between them.besdies we get some thing extra in rooney wch we wont get wth berbs.
so im still up for tevez-rooney.and since vds is injured or might be fit i think tom is more then capable of handling the pressure, besides i think he can do better then what vds is doing now.

i think it will be 5-1.... our defense hasnt looked too strong yet this season, so i could definitely see bolton getting one
kuzschack
wes rio vidic evra
ronaldo scholes hargo/fletcher park
rooney tevez
berba on the bench for this one... give him some minutes in the second half for fitness

It's going to take some time to build chemistry, but I guarantee at some point this season we're going to see:
Brown-------Rio---Vidic-------Evra
----------CM------------CM-----------
Ronaldo-----Tevez-----Rooney
--------------Berbatov--------------

recipe for disaster. no offense mate but rooney will just be a dead weight and a big waste of his talents if we use the trident.
the dippers game was proof of it, and we got back to a fairly good results when go on wth 2 forwards instead of all 3.

Tevez has been our best player so far this season, him getting benched in 2 consecutive matches would be ridiculous.
Having said that against a team like Bolton it's good to have options up front, which means Berbatov would be useful, whether that be as a sub or as a starter is another question.
If he does start though it should be instead of Rooney, not Tevez, simply because Tevez is the on form player.

It's not a trident, it's 4-2-3-1, but it's an extremely fluid formation. Tevez, Ronaldo and Rooney would all be given free roles to roam around and swap positions, making us almost impossible to defend against. And defense won't be a problem the way Rooney and Tevez track back.
Liverpool isn't proof of anything, it was a different formation, Berbatov was unfit and Ronaldo didn't play.

This game should start your good performence form.
Your really expensive attack, should get at least 1 goal.

that swapping is mainly due to we playing a closed play i.e aiming berbs, and if he doesnt deliver thats it for us, just the past 2 games.
why waste either of our 3 forwards all at the same time when we play best wth 2 upfront.if things doesnt shake up we can a 3rd or sub 1 to freshen things up.
im still against us playing all 3 of them at the same time.some how it will burn some one and in most cases its rooney whom suffers the effect by being thrown out of position.
