nah those big score lines in cup matches are over.back in the 50's, 60's, 70's ,80's were the times but nowdays its all in the range of 2-3 only.

once in a bluee moon we might see it re-appear but not in the game wth watford.

Reckon Watford would play like Portsmouth last week. Thus, SAF really has to field a strong 1st 11; although, I somehow feel rooney or giggs would be rested in the place of a solksjaer smith strikeforce. Saha would be on the bench rite??

Watford played on Monday while we played a home game on Tuesday - shouldn't have too much effect on us.

this is just a RANDOM thought, something ive thought only because of this year's situation. but, has the FA ever thought about giving the winner of the FA cup an automatic place in the EPL? i mean, wouldnt that give the smaller clubs EVEN MORE to play for... even make the games BETTER. think about watford... yes, they have alot to play for already... but imagine if they could keep their EPL spot with 2 more wins in the cup

just a thought... im not saying its a good thought by any means, but something to think about nonetheless

It would be a bit daft to be honest; you'd have to abandon the playoffs in the Championship if that happened, rendering the entire season for 4 clubs totally pointless.

i was actually thinking that, say, if watford were to win it this year... then, they would STAY up... meaning the 19th, 18th, AND 17th place teams would be relegated, so that the championship could still send 3 sides up to the epl. yes, you are right--it would be daft... it was just a thought i had. it just seems like there should be maybe some extra incentive for the smaller clubs... aside from winning the fa cup (which is massive, i know).

I see what you're saying but then it would be unfair on whoever finished 17th. It's probably best to just keep it as it is; playing at Wembley and winning the Cup should be a big enough incentive anyway as you suggest.

that would be un-fair to the ones who are chasing as well that is from 3-6 place teams in the championship.besides the teams who win the play-offs get a cash boost and a the last promotion

one obvious way is to increase the prize money and all other funds related to the cup., also add a good schedule for the matches so that it wont be considered as an interference for the leagues which is impossible these days with so many matches on domestic and international levels.

FA play down Cup semi ticket fears

The Football Association have moved to allay fears that fans could stay away from Wembley at next season`s FA Cup semi-finals.

It follows concerns that Chelsea and Blackburn have struggled to sell their allocation of tickets for Sunday`s semi-final at Old Trafford. According to The Times, the clubs have a combined 16,000 seats to sell.

Watford, who were allocated about 17,000 seats for their semi against Manchester United at Villa Park, still have around 1,500 left, according to the paper.

However, an FA spokesman is reported as saying: 'We are confident we will see big crowds at Wembley for the semi-finals.

'We want to make the semi-finals as accessible to as many fans as possible and Old Trafford is the biggest club ground in the country.

'Old Trafford and Villa Park are well-established venues for the semi-finals and are used to dealing with the logistics.'

The Times quotes Mike Graham, of the Blackburn Independent Supporters Association claiming he is not surprised by the low take-up from Rovers fans.

'It`s a low-wage area,' he said. 'Even forking out £25 per ticket -[the minimum price] is a lot, never mind £55 [the maximum].'

what you guys think???cheap??expensive??

cant make it to villa park(work starts ) but gonna try to get to wembley though.

Injury concerns for Reds

Louis Saha is still not fit enough to play any part in Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Watford, while John O'Shea is doubtful with a calf injury.

Saha has missed the Reds' last eight games because of a hamstring strain. He could be available for Tuesday's Premiership clash with Sheffield United at Old Trafford, but he is more likely to be in contention for the squad to face Middlesbrough next Saturday.

O'Shea meanwhile was withdrawn on 52 minutes against Roma on Tuesday after picking a calf knock and he remains a doubt for Saturday's match at Villa Park.

"John didn't train on Friday," confirmed Sir Alex Ferguson at his pre-match press conference. "Patrice Evra came in at right-back on Tuesday and did very well.

"Paul Scholes is back from suspension - his experience could be important in a semi-final."

wow we are realy being stripped bare here.hope o'shea makes the cut for semi's.

Yeah that was 4th or 5th round. Thats when Giggs missed open goals and Beckham got attacked by Fergie.

We beat Arsenal following year in semi finals when Scholes scored and beat Millwall in the final.

saha out again!!!! is he even going to play again this season??? honestly, i wonder if ferguson actually thinks that he has a chance to return this season

does anyone know about park's status? when will he return?

i think that united will win this one comfortably... 3-1... go on to meet chelsea in the finals
