Berbatov is good enough to play for any team.
Who don't want a striker like him?He is a natural born goalscorer.

I've always had a bias view of David Healy, being from Northern Ireland. I watched him play all his games for our Under 21's here in Belfast, and he was fantastic against the likes of Silvestre etc when we played a French team that also included David Trezeguet.
I watched him closely when he played for Man Utd's youth and reserve team and I always believed that he would make the grade.
He went to Preston, did well, and unfortunately decided to move to a poor Leeds United side.
But David Healy has become a legend to us Northern Ireland fans. He has scored 2 hat-tricks in these Euro 2008 Qualifiers, against Spain and Liechtenstein. He scored the winner against England 18 months ago in Belfast and 2 more against a Zlatan Ibrahimovich-led Swedish team who had won 4 from 4 and arrived in Belfast this week to win their 5th.
But David Healy scored his 8th and 9th goals in this campaign, in front of Dennis Wise, who had come over to see what we did differently to get the best from him. We mocked Wisey with the chant, "Are you watching Dennis Wise?" and he took it well it has to be said.
My point is that David Healy has scored 29 International goals against some top quality defenders in 56 appearances, and when you think that Northern Ireland didn't score a goal in 1,298 minutes of International football (a world record), and David Healy played in every one of those games, his record looks even more impressive.
If he was playing with Rooney, Ronaldo etc, he would be clinical. He doesn't just score tap-ins either. He scores goals for fun.
Would he be a good acquisition ? I think he would.
Discuss.

I dunno, his record speaks for itself, but would he be able to ever cement a regular starting position for United?
He is certainly at least Premiership material, his international record shows that but he hasn't been tested with the massive expectations a club like United brings.
He would be a good squad player to have although I don't see it happening, and would he even want to rejoin?
BTW from a few days ago:
Ajax are bracing themselves for a bid from Manchester United for on-fire striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. (The Times)
Aston Villa are set to bid £1.5m to sign Phil Bardsley on a permanent deal from Manchester United. (Daily Mail)

seems that keane is pulling all the strings and skills he learned at united
would be great to see them in the premiership next season.just imagine keane screming on the touch line of the pitch where he used to be screaming on the field week in week out.

03/04/2007 11:26, Report by Steve Bartram
Transfer Rumours: April 07
Rumours persist that United are set to renew their interest in Tottenham's Bulgarian international striker Dimitar Berbatov when the transfer window re-opens.
The red-hot forward was linked with United before signing for Spurs last summer, and the player himself claimed there was strong interest in his services from Old Trafford.
Martin Jol has voiced his intent to keep hold of Berbatov beyond the end of this season, but various tabloids continue to link United with a summer bid in the region of £19million.
Berbatov joins long term targets Owen Hargreaves and Nani on Sir Alex Ferguson's supposed shopping list, while Mikael Silvestre and Wes Brown continue to be linked with Newcastle.

Nothing new there, Berbatov for £19M, good price?

But if you look at the prices for other strikers who aren't past 28 then I reckon £19M for such a talented player is a pretty good piece of business...

Lyon invite offers for Man Utd target Malouda
tribalfooball.com - April 04, 2007
Manchester United are being linked with Olympique Lyon winger Florent Malouda.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed yesterday that "two or three" of Gerard Houllier's star-studded team would be allowed to leave after receiving enquiries from "big clubs".
French press reports suggest Eric Abidal will move to Barcelona, while United will come in for winger Malouda, who could be signed as an alternative to Sporting Lisbon's Nani. The Portuguese youngster is close to signing a long-term deal with Sporting.
Aulas said: "We are going to allow to leave two or three players who are being demanded by big clubs, and we will replace them with other players within a very precise framework."

He's good enough, believe me.
Give this guy a chance, he's as good as Ruud.

I agree, Malouda was poor in that tournament, and I've never rated him before or after it. The Berbatov rumours are interesting, and £19m is actually quite a fairvaluation, considering Tottenham spent £11m on him only last summer. I don't actually think Berbatov will move, not for another year at least. He is their talisman now, and he's happy to be there.

I like Malouda, very quick and has a great long shot as well as a good dribbling ability. I think he'd be a great option to have.
More rumours:
Man Utd, Spurs join interest for Reading's Sidwell
tribalfooball.com - April 05, 2007
Manchester United and Tottenham have joined the interest for Reading's Bosman prospect Steve Sidwell.
The Journal says Sidwell has apparently told friends he favours a move to Newcastle over those reportedly jostling for his transfer. Aston Villa, Portsmouth, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Chelsea and even Valencia are also said to be monitoring the soon to be out of contract player's situation.
