Bolton are getting pretty close to Saha it seems.

For more than £8M, it'd be a great deal.

£8M for Saha is a good deal ... of course, United need to sign his replacement too :P

Maybe, although I'd like to see how Manucho, Fraizer Campbell and maybe Wellbeck would fare too.

Clive Tyldesley said during the Russia-Spain match that Yuri Zhirkov had given an interview saying he'd agreed terms to join United. He'd be a nice squad player who can play both as a winger and as a LB.

He'd be a good option but I haven't seen any news of this yet... Only Chelsea have been linked:

Bit of an underground rumour atm, but we're rumoured to be after a 6"5 27 year old Steau and Romania centreback Goian, for round about 10 million euro. But apparently he's been linked with everyone, German clubs in particular.

I've really liked Zhirkov this tournament. Judging by those performances alone, he'd be a great signing, but I for one didn't see him at all last season, so I wouldn't know where to rate him myself. I don't think Ferguson is gonna to do a Poborski again, so he'd have to be recommended for his club performances as highly as for his NT for SAF to really want him. But considering him as a strong all-rounded, all-left-flank player, he could be a very good option.

Elmander to Bolton and Saha saying he wants to stay. The Saha to Bolton rumour just dies.

Bastian Schweinsteiger has been linked with Manchester United. Apparently he's in Sir Alex's list of possible Cristiano Ronaldo replacements. They are reportedly ready to offer 12 million pounds, which is an insulting offer to be honest.

But, anyway, Rummenigge says he (and Poldi) are going nowhere:

I'm not that fond of Schweinsteiger, but he is a hard working player who defenders are never gonna like playing against. I personally don't believe it - it just seems completely down to his Euro campaign, and for what Bayern would ask for, I don't think it'd be worth it.

Apparently German papers are speculating £22m, which is quite a bit too much.

I don't know about Schweinsteiger. I've mostly seen him play in the international tournaments, and he's had some great games but he's had some equally poor games. I don't think he'd be able to replace Ronaldo but he'd be a good option at a reasonable price.

Meanwhile Spurs are apparently unwilling to discuss Berbs with United because of the Carrick deal:

I think Schweinsteiger could be a good signing for you. He can play both wings and is always a goal threat. But I can't see Ferguson signing him, especially not as a replacement for Ronaldo- if he goes.

Today's rumours:

IN:

Manchester United and Real Madrid are eyeing River Plate's prolific striker Radamel Falcao, acording to the Colombia international's agent Nestor Sivori. (DiarioSport)

OUT:

Fraizer Campbell to Villa

I don't know anything about Falcao but I don't want to lose Campbell before he's even given a chance.
