Fairly sizeable offer that. Would you take it?

no, as fergie and gill stated we aint selling him for no price, yes th money would bring loads of players but it takes time for new player to blend in, to gell and to perform to the level he is.even if we did buy a so "called" genius, they would still need time to get along wth the whole squad.

bare in mind ronaldo was just as the same.he took his time in maturing and worked hard to the level he is now, so i say no thank you for what ever amount any one offers.

I wouldn't accept the offer for Ronaldo because he's irreplaceable. It'd be like losing Keane, except this time rather than grit and composure we'd be losing goals... a hell of a lot of them.

Apparently Ronaldo wants to stay on next season anyway so I'm not particularly worried.

Queiroz Was On Lisbon Scouting Mission

Quote:
Rangers beat Sporting, who are not commenting about any possible scouts at their Jose Alvalade stadium on Thursday might.

However, Queiroz's presence suggests he is continuing to keep tabs on the progress of Miguel Veloso and Joao Moutinho.

Queiroz possesses in-depth knowledge of Portuguese football, while United have a special relationship with Sporting Clube de Portugal, from whom they acquired Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani.

And United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is a known admirer of both Veloso and Moutinho.

The two players are being strongly tipped to make summer moves out of Lisbon, and United appear to be serious potential suitors.

That fact that Ronaldo and Nani both made successful moves to Old Trafford, and that compatriot Queiroz is also at Old Trafford, could be a significant attraction for one or both of Veloso and Moutinho.

Goal.com - Manchester United - Queiroz Was On Lisbon Scouting Mission

We don't need either (more CMs?) but the links to Veloso have been ongoing from all sorts of sources all season.

And apparently Obafemi Martins would snub a move to United, but that's probably a good thing for us because I don't think he's the type of extra striker we need.

I think if Queiroz succeeds SAF in the future, we could very well have lots of Portugeezers in our team........

Which is why I think it'd be best to get an ex player like Giggs or Neville next to him, to keep his head in England a bit. Still, if Quieroz suggests a player, I certainly wouldn't have any complaints, whatever his nationality.

Look at when he was at Madrid. He wanted Ronaldo for £10m and Pepe for 2 - the president refused on both counts, and last summer Pepe moved to Madrid for £20m, while this summer Madrid are losing their heads tracking Ronaldo, bidding £100m. Talent is not lost on that man.

I agree, he shouldn't be sold. Actually, this could give Pique an added incentive to show Barcelona just what they're missing, should Vida not be fit.

well i can see next season the cb pairing will be tougher if pique makes it to one of the cl matches.coz even so vida could be back by then i dont think fergie will gamble the same way we did wth milan last season when gaby wasnt fit and was started straight in the away leg.

There's a rumoured move of Evra to Juventus atm, since he's delaying his new contract and holding out for a big wage.

I think he deserves a lot of money, he's definitely one of the best LBs in the world and it would be bloody difficult to replace him, if possible at all with the players available atm.

I'm confident he'll stay though, he loves the club, the fans love him and he's winning trophies, why would he want to leave?

Goal.com - Manchester United - Juventus After Evra, Says Report

-----------------------------------------------------

Also rumours of a move for Dani Alves for £25M. I'm unsure on this, Ronaldo and Dani Alves on one wing? Maybe a dream going forward but defence-wise we'd be very suspect.

Goal.com - Manchester United - Sir Alex To Launch Alves Bid

-----------------------------------------------------

We've also been linked with Gattuso, this time last year I would have given my right arm for him but at this stage with Anderson and Hargreaves it would seem pretty unnecessary...

just what i was thinking.

if this news was in time about 2 seasons ago i would be happy and hoped it will be real but now wth our mid-field fully packed and at a very healthy age rate and wth very best of the crop i say this is just a pass time rumor from the press, but he might go to rangers though.he did start his career in scotland.

The Evra rumour is non-sense. Juve are looking for a lb, but I doubt it will be a player outside Italy, and not for £10m.

Leicester City want to sign Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck on-loan next season. The Foxes have already made an approach to ask if the England prospect could join them for a full season as part of his development.

Manchester United are joining the race for £25 million Sevilla right-back Daniel Alves.

The News of the World says United spies were in Spain earlier this month to see the Sevilla star play a blinder in the 2-0 win over Villarreal.

Now United boss Sir Alex Ferguson hopes to persuade the buccaneering right-back to snub rivals Chelsea and Barcelona in favour of Old Trafford.

Goal.com - Manchester United - United Target Wiese As Van Der Sar Backup

Foster won't wait too many years for his chance, he's already 25 ffs. He's not going to get experience without playing and I can't imagine Wiese would join only to be a back-up to VDS first and then to Foster. I don't buy this rumour unless Foster's leaving.

And that's ignoring Kuszczack as well...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Goal.com - Manchester United - United Chase Santa Cruz

Well, he's had a fantastic season, surpassed all expectations. But strikers sometimes fade away in their second seasons in the league like McCarthy & Doyle recently. I'm unsure on this, although as a back-up/rotation striker to Rooney & Tevez he'd be a good option as he's not overly expensive and is a different kind of player.
