Fergie has tried to sign Joe Cole twice before, once when he was a youngster and the other time at west ham. It wouldnt surprise me if he went after him again.

No but I really can't see him leaving Chelsea. At least not this year anyway.

I havent seen Nolan play 90 minutes this season, he is good player but if he was to come then we would need someone alongside him. I would prefer Carrick over Nolan personally.

If Ballack arrives at The Bridge, somebody is going to have to leave.

Joe Cole IMO.

And our door is open.

Such a glib, unintelligent and poorly reasoned post (by virtue of the fact that there is none) that I was tempted to not argue the toss....but seeing as I spent all that time clicking on this thread just to see that I thought I may as well laugh at it....

HAHA!

Laugh away, but Ballack wll not sign if he isn't guaranteed first team football, so who leaves ?

Lampard, Essien, Makelele, Cole ?

And this is a thread for SPECULATION.

NONE of them leave.

Cole barely ever plays central midfield.

If one player was to be more affected than the others it would probably be Makalele....but that all depends on whether Ballack plays well or not. If he doesn't he won't play and if he doesn't like that he goes away....no skin off our nose....free agent.

Gudjohnsen is probably one of the few players that is most likely to be on his arse and the way he has played this season that won't be such a big deal...even if it will be sad for sentimental reasons.

You are such an arrogant bastard.

I sincerely hope that Abramovich leaves you lot.

I would have preferred Leeds to have got Abramovich than you pompous twats from London.

I'm really not and again I apologise if that is how I come across (to all)...I just don't think you have any sensible grounds for your opinion about what happens when Ballack comes in.
