Default United Fans

On this board.

I know most of you have filled in the "locaction" part, some haven't.

So, where are you from is what I am asking, and what type of fan are you? Just a little thread to get to know you all, lol.

So, questions are:

Where are you from?
Why are you a United fan?
What type of fan are you (the poll)

I'm from Manchester, Match Member. I support United because my fathers side of the family is red and I was taken to Old Trafford as a youngester, and apparently "i loved it" and my Dad's taken me quite a lot of times. Now I go with my mates instead, when we can get to games, of course.

I am from Beverly Hills, California (I say L.A. in my profile location cause its the closest big city to me).

I am a United fan because my cousin got me hooked on European football about 3 years ago and one day I watched a United match v. Leeds. I mostly became enthralled with the wizardry of Giggs to be honest. And I've become red through and through ever since then.

I am an E-member only because I have no other option being a college student short on spare cash.

Where are you from?

I'm from Dublin (Ireland)

Why are you a United fan?

I've been a Manchester United supporter for about 25+ years now (my whole life you could say) . I've supported them ever since I was a kid, much because my mother's side of the family are United crazy
The club will be in my heart forever

What type of fan are you (the poll)

E-Member atm.

Unfortunately because of work and financial situations, and the fact that I live in a different country, makes it difficult for me to see the lads live.
I do however take the chance to see them whenever they visit my country

I'm for Kent

I support united because they were the first team I saw play football. Yes I probably should of supported my local team but as a kid I was surrounded with children who supported liverpool cos their older brother did or spurs becuase dad was a fan. I didn't have an older brother and my dad didn't follow a team and I didn' know you were ment to support your local side becuase I didn't know anyone that did. So my decision was a spur of the moment decision - in the match I watched (on TV) I was confused as why a team of refs where playing and my dad told me that was Manchester United (in their black kit) so I annouced I would support them.

Born and raised in Worsley, thus spent my youth at OT, Old Trafford, The Willows and Belle Vue. Coming from a red heartland from a family of reds United was pretty much an inevitability.

Strictly speaking I'm still a season ticket holder, although this season due to the lack of Saturday afternoon games I've been sub-letting.

Interesting reading really. Up to now anyway. I hate not having free Saturdays.. [You HAVE to work when you're at Uni (Salford)]

Russel, your team of refs story is piss funny!

Continue fellow fans...

Obviously I'm a Liverpool fan..........

BUT i thought i'd post because.......

My brother is a United fan(how i don't know but he has been since about 1982), he's the only one in the family, my dad, my mam, my other two brothers, and my two sisters and me all support Liverpool, although one of my sisters married a bluenose and is therefore no longer considered a fan by the rest of us! Anyway, my bro grew up in Toxteth, Liverpool, now lives in Dublin, and goes to every United match, home or away, domestic or European.

I voted season ticket holder on his behalf.

I'm originally from Eccles but have been living in Boothstown, Worsley for 10 years now.

My friends dad used to be a steward at O.T. on matchdays and could aquire 2 junior tickets every game. So me and my friend used these tickets. These tickets could have been anywhere in the ground and it was nice for 2 seasons to sit in every stand with my friend for every game. As united was the only team i had ever attended games too and with my dad being a red himself it was an obvious choice.

At the moment i am part of the Swinton Supporters Club which can apply for tickets for me and have more chance of aquiring them. I am a match member and have only missed out on the Arsenal game and the upcoming Villa game due to the Supporters club missing out on the deadlines.

Was gutted about missing the Arsenal game. ::upset::

I hate to argue against you, but by my recconing, your 18, which means, then when you was 5, United were at the tp of the league and in Europe, am I wrong?

I'm not calling you glory hunting here...
