Scolari to replace Sven?

Media reports in Italy claim that Eriksson is a wanted man with Juventus being linked.

City’s Thai owner Thaksin Shinawatra is also reportedly unhappy with the way the club have slumped from third in the table to eighth and struggling to even qualify for the Uefa Cup.

Eriksson is coming under increasing pressure and could well be tempted to jump ship if the right offer comes from Italy.

Manchester City therefore are looking to plan for such an eventuality and have earmarked Scolari as the man they would want to bring to Eastlands.

I don't think Sven will leave City after one season only. Opening of the season looked like a revolution from Sven but City wasn't that good as they pretend to be after all and that's more like it. Sven have bought several players who don't seemed to be on the level as Sven maybe hoped they were. Sven need to become even more clever in the chase of new players front of next season.

He would be great in Benfica if he ends up going. But he was a lot more money to work with in City than in Benfica

He even don't speak english. But I think this will end as a rumour. Why should City get rid of Sven after only one season?

Scolari does speak decent English.

But Scolari has never managed a European club, and hasn't managed a club of any variety for more than seven years. Add to that the fact that when he was managing club sides in Brazil, he never stayed in one place for more than three seasons.

Big Phil produced crap and cheating football in Brasil and crap football with their national team. He'd do the same with City - Portugal-Greece, anyone?

All of which means he's nailed on for the job, I guess.
