Micah Richards has stressed that he is fully committed to Manchester City and that he is close to putting pen to paper on a new deal.
The teenager has quickly emerged as the hottest young property in English football and is already a fixture in Steve McClaren's first team at right-back, but he has previously been linked with moves to Manchester United and Arsenal.
"I'm just about to sign a new Manchester City contract and last week I said hopefully I'll be captain one day," he told the club's official website.
"I'm in final talks and hopefully we'll have something signed very, very soon. It's just down to the finer details.
"I'm enjoying my football week in, week out and I'm playing for England, so what more could I want at the moment."
Regarding reports of a move to Arsenal, he added: "It's certainly not the case that I want to move anywhere. I'm looking for a new house in Manchester, so why would I want to move anywhere now?
"I've said when I was younger that I'd like to play for Arsenal - one day - and that was it.
"This was in a magazine I spoke to once a long time ago, it's very old stuff."
"This talk of a buy-out clause is just rubbish as well, it just seems there's people trying to twist things."
