It's official: Donovan in Germany 1-1-05
article:
If it's really true, sorry to see him leave the MLS but look forward to see how his game is in Europe. I think its time.

Well it was bound to happen soon enough, I'm suprised he didn't leave sooner.

Hopefully he'll be able to get alot of playing time at Bayer. I think we'll also see Beasley and Convey leave after the season is over.

I will still beleive it when I see it. MLSNET has already posted an article calling the move a 'procedural formality'.
I think playing in Europe would only benefit Donovan, but I don't think he wants to go.

Could do a lot better then going into germany i feel, i remember portsmouth wanted him earlier in the season but that went down.
But leverkusen are a good club but they have got some financial trouble.

I agree MUFC but they have his rights until 2008. I hope something can be worked out so he can go to a league that better suits him.

Yeh im not saying that Portsmouth is a good club, he should be doing better then portsmouth but the premiership would perfectly suit his style. Of what i seen of him he has some quick legs on him and thats what the premiership is about. He be perfect if he joined Fulham.

I should qualify what I said earlier. I don't think Donovan wants to go to Germany. I think he would go to England or elsewhere in Europe. He's bitter (whether justified or not) at Leverkusen.
