IMO he's a good fit for England. Style wise i think he is best suited to play in Spain.

Landon Donovan has established himself as the best player in MLS, winning league titles in San Jose (twice) and Los Angeles. Aside from winning the World Cup, which only comes every four years, what else can he achieve in America apart from several more MLS championship rings? Not that they don't look lovely, but superstars should surely aspire to more.
As long as he's playing in MLS, he is going to continue suffering the frustrations that he couldn't hold in after Saturday's tie with Chicago. And if that's the level he's chosen, he should look to coach his teammates to a higher standard, not bleat about them like a spoiled wonderbrat.

I still think he needs to move abroad. Germany was a bad fit for his game, but I think he would be perfect for the Premiership.

You have better players that can make up for him if he isn't at his best....that said you probably need him to be at his best to make it out of the group.
